DIY Romantic Blouse | Autumn Sewing Adventure

I've been on the hunt for a romantic, vintage-inspired blouse pattern for so long! Of course, not only did this pattern need to be retro-cute and learner-friendly, but it also needed to fit my body... and allow for a full range of motion while being comfortable. (I don't ask for much, do I?) ;) After some trail and failure, I finally found McCall's M7900! This pattern for a retro, fitted blouse includes different pattern pieces for different bust sizes. These options were a life saver, since I'm a learner sewer who doesn't yet have the skills to fully adjust a regular pattern! After two mock-ups and more adjustments, I finally begin work on my new top! I picked out a brown and white gingham-print fabric that had just the right fall/cottagecore vibes! Fast forward through lots of sewing magic, and my romantic-style blouse was ready to frolic through leaves and pick out pumpkins! How about pouring yourself a warm beverage and joining me for the whole autumn sewing adventure! :)

If you don't want to lose the length on your sleeves, you could cut some bias pieces out of your scraps and add a cuff with added interest by the bias cut.
