No idea if Baltmatrix would read this comment, but I don't know how to say this any other way besides as fun as the normal transformer reviews are, its always the oddball stuff- the KOs, the wierd crossover figures, the other brands of transforming robots- that I just find utterly fascinating. Most people aren't going to cover them, and it's always funny to see how bad they can be. But there's also the fact I- and likely a lot of the other viewerbase who have remained subscribed and still get the videos in our feeds- have been watching this channel for decades. Balt's had a long run and honestly with the way the toy industry is right now, I don't blame him for not feeling it. How much of us are the same people we used to be years ago? The entirety of KZbin as a platform has become an algorithmic nightmare, and its no longer a platform where people can create videos for the sake of fun without having the algorithmic overlord whispering in their ear of "create content". I don’t think it's a coincidence that a lot of channels are slowing down production or even shutting down altogether in this "dead period". Also Balt, I hope your family, especially your son, gets better soon.

For whatever this is worth, Balt, you've most recently convinced me to get _Legacy_ Thundertron, a figure that I ended up _greatly_ enjoying! Absolutely don't force yourself to buy, let alone review, figures that you have no strong feeling toward, but I hope whatever stuff you decide to get, going forward - both for the channel, and yourself - will help you find that sweet spot of excitement again, as you have done for my personal collecting journey. :)

I can explain it. Legacy United consist of mainly non-G1 figures from various universes towards the end of the new trilogy, with just a few G1 figures left (mainly minibots), and Wave 1s of late has been lackluster (remember Legacy Wave 1 with Arcee)...will it get better? I don't know, but hey, your hair looks JUST fine.

Thanks for the update video. Hope you'll get by being the one man army for the IT department in your company (I feel sorry for those that have been laid off, hope they easily find another job soon) I'm glad that your whole family is doing well and it was not that serious. There's no such thing as being too old being a KZbinr as there are some older KZbinrs doing their things, it's just that like you said, if there's anything that will spark your interest from the future waves of new toys to review. Hope Hasbro takes this to their heart and starts making their toyline with more fun factors and takes it seriously with their quality. Most importantly, please take care and stay safe, Baltmatrix.

Thank you for the update. Real life takes first priority ALWAYS! if that means less reviews, so be it. i feel you on the new wave of figures. they are cool and i want most of them but feeling kind of meh about them. i think it is because they are lesser know characters. a lot of which i am not familiar. like Chase. never watched Rescue Bots, and Tazmanian kid. never watched the series he is from either. Animated Bee not so much. watched most of Animated. i am also stoked for Tidalwave and the Haslab is really cool but i never watched RiD. and honestly for me it either one or the other. dont have the cash for both. Keep on collecting and i'll see you in your next video =)

Balt... I know there's a small chance you'll ever see this, and I know you said you aren't leaving, but I'll say it anyway. Because in case I never get a chance, and for some reason you move on from YT and don't check comments anymore, I'd regret NOT having said it. I just wanna thank you, for the love you instilled in me of TF figures and collecting. I won't get too detailed/disturbingly para-social, but growing up wasn't so fun for me. Your videos were some of the only good things about that whole period of my life, since I've been a lifelong TF fan. Previously having only considered (seriously) collecting figures from afar, your videos have now excited me to the point of actually tracking them down for the first time ever. If the day should ever come you decide, for what will be valid reasons, to leave this website? Then on that day, It'll be a poorer platform for it. And a massive niche of the KZbin community will forever be left with big shoes to fill. Your honestly, passion for what you're talking about, and detailed knowledge of these figures is what re-ignited the inner 12 year old who loved collecting these figures as an adult, so whatever the future looks like for you? You'll have left behind a notable -- and great -- legacy. Thank you for that. And, additionally, thank you for making growing up a little less crappy.

I am sorry that your family got covid over the holidays. My family and I got the flu on Christmas 2013 and it was no fun. Idk man, mainline retail stuff just hasn’t been doing it for me lately. Every now and again I’ll want to grab one but then I think? Why not just buy a 3rd party legends scale figure that makes me way happier? And then I don’t buy the mainline thing. And when I do pick them up I enjoy it for 3 seconds then return it 😕 idk they just aren’t for me for the moment I think.

As someone who is basically your age, I think your feelings are mixture of too much product being released and not enough innovation leading to burnout. Also, for me, while the shift in CHUG to more non-G1 toys is cool, there is a small part of me that would like to see late G1 figures who have never made it into CHUG like(Squeezeplay/Quickmix et al). For you working in the office AND doing videos almost makes it seem like reviews are "unpaid work" than a hobby. I think doing select reviews is a good strategy instead of doing "every CHUG figure" known to man. While I appreciate the plethora of reviews of you've done for 18 years, I don't want you to hate it or view it as drudgery. Your mental well being and spending time your wife/son is much more important. I hope your work responsibilities aren't too overbearing and that you find a new optimal balance. i think you're getting up their with age balt and itll soon be time to retire. at this point everyone i watch either retired or got cancelled so you might as well retire at some point and spend that extra time with your family and your son. also with inflation ive kind of pulled back on collecting because realistically how long are we really gonna be collecting for. it just becomes too much, too overwhelming, and too expensive. hope things work out for you
