Hey man you are not alone. I’ve gone cold turkey a few times and can’t handle that much of a life disruption at this point work wise. Doing a taper. Cutting back by about one gram every 2 days. Started at 30 grams/day now at 11 grams. I know there’s a ton of pain to come so I just wanted to sincerely thank you for posting your experience because it’s incredibly helpful to know there are people who get it.

I am on my 4th day. I quit cold turkey. Today is the worse so far. Not sleeping at all. I have no appetite whatsoever. Hoping that comes back soon. Thank you for your story.

It’s 7 in the morning, day 3, I cannot sleep. Steep battle. It’s sucks. Good luck with your own battle. We both will get there.

Slow and steady seems to be key, Unless you can go to treatment. With work and life, detox and staying off is tough. “You have to get better the same way you got sick”

I’m in this club too. I’m have success with my taper using Kava, Delta 8, crushed leaf and the big one Bone stem and vein . It works without the part our bodies want. Capsules have been a help too. Kava a lot of kava you can sleep and no withdrawal. Art of Kava is a good source. Not affiliated Keep going. Relapse is part of recovery.

Good luck on your journey. I’ve relapsed many times in the past year. I just got through my fifth day without Kratom. The first two days were so hard. I just powered through. I feel a lot better today. I hope you stay strong and make the jump fully. Wishing you the best 🙏🏽

I can't tell if you're a very well spoken 22 year old or a really good looking 43 year old.

I've done powder for about 5 years. Last month I started taking the extract shots at $20 a pop. I'm currently taking about 3 a day and can't even really feel the effects anymore. I can't afford to have a habit like this anymore. Time to attempt quitting again. I made it about 14 days last time and really just remember the first 5 or 7 days being pretty bad. Mainly due to not sleeping and restless leg. I'll be praying for you guys. God give us the discipline and the courage to face the day without the effects of drugs.

Interesting. I've been on it for 10 years daily and still feel the effects. You're probably taking too much at a time. You also need to not expect to feel high. I use it to regulate my emotions. Not to experience total euphoria. In my first few years, taking large amounts to feel that euphoria caused the kratom to stop working. But now that I take small amounts at a time, it's enough to keep me mellow throughout the day. Also, never, ever take extracts. That will skyrocket your tolerance. One more thing. There's no evidence for a God, you're just looking for another way to get high. Religion activates the same part of the brain that drug addiction does. Whenever I see people quit kratom, they lose their ability to think about reality in a logical way, because they're too emotional.

Sometimes I wonder why even quit? People get weirdly spiritual/philosophical after they quit. It's like they're emotionally unstable. I understand if it's causing health problems or you're spending too much money. I've been on kratom for 10 years and I have no intention on ever quitting. I'm so much more able to regulate my emotions. Before I discovered kratom I was clingy and had emotions that were way out of control. Like someone with BPD or something.

I agree it "regulates emotions" by dampening them significantly, so if you naturally have extreme mood swings and need something to balance out then it would be a good stabilizer.

The mental negotiation between the 2 voices is real man. Been going through the same thing with the off again on again. Coming back on after that break almost feels like the first time and perfect. It’s like the lure of using it when the system is clean is extra enticing. But it’s just a trap cause like you said that voice tries to use that as justification to use it moderately which is impossible. Your videos are very helpful I’m in the same struggle, I’m realizing taper and moderation won’t work, have to stare this thing in the face and take your life back. Keep it up we with you
