Hey all, My fiancé (together 3 years) didn’t physically cheat on me, but she became emotionally invested with a guy she used to have feelings for.
In November, I discovered that she was sending him selfies of her outfits for work, photos of what we where doing (such as carving pumpkins for Halloween) and texting nonstop throughout the workday - mainly about pointless stuff.
One night she asked if we could watch a show on Netflix - which I later found out he was mentioning in their conversation. The last message he sent revealed how he felt for me fiancé and said “it’s in your court now.”
Story 1:
Update: My (22M) fiancé (21F) “caught up” with a friend and began to question our engagement
Story 2:
My(M21) gf (F23) just accidentally openly admit to cheating me on in front of all of her friends while on vacation and I’m stuck here until Jan 3rd
Story 3:
Ex-WS reached out to me after months of NC

Haven't started the update, not going say lost any faith yet but may be neutral. It's not my relationship but if I was engaged and she was talking to another guy like that, it would have ended right there. If she doesn't have enough respect to not talk to other guys like that, then there no hope. 100% zero tolerance on certain thing. Because I treat those how I will be treated not want will. The first story, [expletive] OP is dense. She walked their relationship into a field and shot it in the back of the head to rot. The update revealing that OP was paying 80% of everything is a neon sign that she was only with him as a stable plan B. OP should expect her to come crawling back for another chance after a while and he needs to learn the phrase "You made your choice" otherwise he will get stuck in this cycle.

@@kos2919 It gets better because OP mentions in one of the comments that a previous GF treated him the exact same way. That dude is a magnet for gold-diggers and not the slightly better kind who won't risk cheating to keep their golden goose. I wouldn't normally advocate this, but seeing how much he craves being in a relationship, if that's the kind of woman he attracts he needs to go on one of those dating sites that specialises in hooking up men and women with sugar-babies. It probably would mean he would be cycling through college students every 3 year or so (hell, some guys would view that as a bonus) but if he's lucky he might get one that sticks. At least that way he always knows what he's getting into. P.S. The reason I don't like the relationship dynamic of sugar-daddy and baby, is that it's seem too much like sexual servitude for my liking, it's not how I would want a relationship with a woman to work. Edit: Missed a word.

@@ricaivory6571 I wasn't that stupid at 22 and neither were most of the other young men around me. I think if anything it's due to his upbringing being too sheltered and lacking in any advice or lessons about what to expect in relationships and what to avoid. It's extremely rare them not to do it again. Cheating is always a choice. And yes. I was needy and clingy teenager who ignored every damn red flag with bf. @@severepayne72 no its not common. Stop spreading a lie. 1-2% of kids are not the assume father's. For those who doubt paternity and take test, 30% are not father. So even those cases majority are the actual father. But majority of men don't have to doubt.

@@duckeh1952 These numbers suggest that the widely quoted and unsubstantiated figure of 10% of non-paternal events is an overestimate. @@severepayne72 that's the same thing? People who take paternity test (=men who have reason to doubt) isn't the same than all men. Those who need to doubt are in minor group. So no. It's not really very, very common. That is like claiming increased consumption of ice cream in summer causes more drownings. It's only looks common in Reddit, where people post when things are shit. You don't see posts "hey Reddit, my wife hasn't cheated in our 15 yrs in marriage and all three kids are mine!" Just because you got cheating ah GF and got burnt doesn't mean every woman on planet cheats and tries to pin baby on non-bio dad. About 35% of people in relationships cheat. Ofc man simply can be never sure without test (unlike women) but also have to remember if there honestly isn't any reason to doubt, asking it means there is no trust and without trust me there is no relationship. And tbh. I am sure when looking back, most men who take the test, realise there was something that gave the reason to ask for a test. ONS and after breakups should always be alarming. Also guys. If you really don't want kids, use condoms no matter how woman says she is on birthcontrol. Still not 100%, but better odds than just hormonal. I am sure "bit better sensation" isn't worth 18 yr if child support.

Nothing to think about at that point. She wanted you to stay as a fall back plan in case the other guy didn't work out. 2nd Story: Better to find out now versus later I guess. Her skills in manipulation and deception aren't very good. She just folded in real time. 3rd Story: If she didn't have relations after the wedding, that would've been annulled. Ignore her completely. Or maybe tell her never contact you again.

It's a ridiculously stupid thing to do in my opinion. Ideally, you should never make a lifelong commitment before your brain fully develops at or around the age of 25. Most people in that age group can't pick out an article of clothing they'll want to wear long term so picking out a person, who will also be growing & changing during that period is an almost impossible task. It's setting yourself up for failure right from the beginning. I personally believe that getting married & having children should never be undertaken until both people are at the very very least in their late 20s (probably no earlier than 27) or early 30s. This advice is only if you want your marriage to have a shot at being one of the marriages which actually do survive long-term. If you don't care if it survives until death do you part then, by all means, get married to someone you can have a cordial relationship with (no crazies of either sex), have your kids early, get them through those extremely difficult early years, divorce & be the best co-parents you can be until you've fulfilled your obligations to get your children to adulthood. Once they are out in the world living their own lives, then go out, find your person & be happy doing what you've always wanted to do together. Idk, that's where I'm at.

I got married at 21. I'm almost 30 now. We made it all these years. I think he fell for me on a trip with our military friends. I was 110 lbs and he was 180. He fell on a ski trip and I fireman carried his ass down a hill. Lol. He had a tore ACL and then he needed someone to care for him when we did get back to base. I did. I changed his clothes for him, prepped his food, and that was all God wrote. I mean who wouldn't want a girl who can fireman carry you down the hill. Lol.

Reasons like these are why, if I get into a relationship in my early 20s, we'll be dating for several years to test and build loyalty until our late 20s (28 or 29) minimum. Only then, can I be sure enough to marry a woman. Honestly though, even that can be a little sketchy, but maybe that's just me being insecure, paranoid, and/or pessimistic.

Pay attention to the red flags and enjoy your life.

1st Story: He has to keep letting her cheat on him because she keeps leading him on. He knows she cheats on him and wants to make sure she gets half of everything he has in a divorce before he gives up trying to make her pretend to love him. Therapy can't fix a relationship that hasn't existed since she started cheating the first time. He seriously refuses to even learn his lesson considering he had suffered through this situation and the repeated cheating prior and still keeps allowing. She was talking about leaving him and then she just needs to see what she feels for her affair partner... His calling him less attractive and less financially stable so she's chosing the wrong guy is bad though because that really means he didn't value emotional components either. 2nd Story: If the job involves covid patients, he knows a negative result does not mean he doesn't have it. It means the infection isn't in full swing. And the comment about if given the opportunity he'd murder her is a reason he should be out, and she should not be alone in a car with him. He needs to find his own way home. If he's unwilling to call a friend, find a car rental. 3rd Story: The stupidity of saving a long dead marriage...

To The Last Story the guy whose wife cheated on him with a colleague. You had a dead bedroom before you got married, really seriously, and you still married her what was going through your mind? That is like a deal-breaker right off the bat. I'm not marrying somebody I'm not sleeping having sex with and being perfectly happy and enjoying my life with her and her with me and you still went through and married her there is no reason in the world that you should have done that. I had to call the wedding off at everything because there was reasons big giant huge holiday red flags that were being posted in front of you and you refuse to see him because of what? The lack of being able to open your eyes. Never trust your wife your spouse your girlfriend your significant other 100% never. When you do that then you give them call accessibility to cheat.

There's no last chance to see how she feels she's already shown you that. Now you want to spend the rest of your life with her how long do you think that's really going to last? Do the right thing continue looking for the woman of your dreams not somebody that you already have to question and you caught cheating.
