Is there no benefit of putting a ferrite bead on the end of the cable? Are all the transformers the same for every model can you get a more beefier transformer,?

Same transformers for every model, 6VA is more than enough to hold the rails up for a small phono preamplifier operating at maximum level and line driving. Adding ferrite beads won't do very much as the transformers operate at low frequency mains AC....

@@michaelfidler8218 right you don't think bigger transformers might make any difference? I mean that's quite a decent size! Maybe a 12 VA might be more beneficial keeping noise down?? Why not a good clean switch mode power supply? Say Running at 164kHz?? Do you use a one ferret capacitor on the input of the transformer or output second stage or both? Whereabouts in the UK are you! I'm in berkhamsted. Do you build amplifiers as well? I thought about taking over croft acoustics the guy died recently I don't know if anybody is running the business, And taking it over don't have any business knowledge like that tho!! I git to much time on my hands. if you need any help building any equipment let me know, I suppose it's just assemble is it... you just get the boards made in China? Where the transformers from Poland? I don't really agree with buying from China not with the government as it is its a danger to the world, You're just feeding the war machine. Sorry about the rent I get started I can't stop lol I wasn't sure which one to get the MC Pro but then I can't use MM cartridge can I, or get the Spartan 15 and just a transformer for MC, you don't sell them? only use MM shure V15! mk3 at the moment, I was looking at the goldring ethos looks a good cartridge and resembly priced! would that work great with your phono stage good match? I could always add a capacitor and resistor in parallel on the leads if needed I suppose, do you offer a jumper for better matching? It's a breath of the fresh air people like you in the industry keep up the good work!

@@hoobsgroove if the rails hold up after internal regulation with a good margin of excess voltage against dropout, then the transformer will be big enough. There's no reason to use a larger one.

@@michaelfidler8218 hello! I've found out about your company fairly recently and will be in the market for a new mc phono stage later this year. I was curious.. Are you planning on making any black or dark colored units in the future for the mc pro? Just a minor question as my other components are all black/dark grey. Thanks. I am in the USA as well so this video was a solid update thanks for posting.
