What's embarrassing is those who trash talked Barrett Jackson for not giving. THEY DID! They chose wisely to give quietly, which all of us should. It's not about ourselves. It's for Steve.

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

As a 20-year Navy submariner, I'd go months sometimes without seeing the blue sky. While you heal Steve, enjoy the peaceful slower pace of your life. Every morning, make it a point to go out your homes back door with a cup of joe, look up into the sky and smile KNOWING that tens of thousands of your fans KNOW you will be just fine in a short period of time. This is JUST another chapter in the Book of Life of Steve Magnante. This health care scare will pass brother. For now, it's just time to make lemonade while you write your next chapter in the book of Steve. Now get off your ass and go look at that sky. Love ya brother! Byrd

As of this minute, over 7,200 of us have given to Steve's gofundme - to the tune of $421,000! Great job everyone! As a 6-time cancer survivor, I can witness that medical bills can take everything a fella has and it can do so quickly, so if you can, feel free to pitch in and help as well. God bless, Ed on the Ridge

Those (like me) who have read the articles you either wrote or were a part of, watched the productions (Junkyard Gold, etc) you were hosting, Barrett-Jackson Auctions, High Octane Classics and your own KZbin channel, we love you and genuinely care about your health, both physically and financially. I personally am so happy to see you continuing to get better and look forward to the day when you are slogging around the junkyard yet again, building another wild project car or sharing your vast storehouse of knowledge on all things automotive. Keep on improving, brother!

You're the best! my father used to take to his buddy's junkyard in the 70's when he visited. I loved walking around and looking at the all the cars and trucks. I was about 8 years old and couldn't appreciate everything until I began to watch you and the Roadkill shows. BTW... for years my father had an old beat-up car on the side of the yard that had an original hemi engine in it. it's no wonder I got a butt slapping when my dad caught me throwing stones at it.

I believe the calling out talk at Barrett-Jackson was warranted. There were so many of us who called them out on social media. I am of the belief that it lit a fire under Craig's butt to make the effort. The on-air personalities at Barrett-Jackson and others having successful auto content KZbin channels, gave their time and money in helping Steve early into his illness. They kept his channel alive with content. Steve is every bit deserving of this help. He would be the first one to do it for others in need. Also, Mecum Car Auctions has grown far superior in their presentation. If they could afford to add Steve to their already great on air cast, what a super group that would be.
