For me...... I had to have the software Opened in the Loader, with the mouse hovering over the update button, and the USB plugged into the computer all ready to go, before plugging it in (because I had about 3 seconds before the beeping stopped, {after holding down the CH button and plugging it in}, to hit that update button.... or it went to the regular screen and would fail) Thanks for the video!!!

My charger wouldn't connect. I would hold CH and plug in, but it would never go to beeping. Thanks to a friend, he told me you have to plug in USB first, then hold CH, THEN plug in the power. Not sure if my model was any different than any of yours, but that was my process.

Thats awesome! I have had my eye on the D6 for a while. But I run a 10+ year old PC power supply to run my Q6 and old accucell and the power supply and accucell just wont die!

my d6 pro got shipped with 1.0.36 and still their newest fw online is .35 .. also holding "ch" doesn't make it beep

Hey bro how would you calibrate the charger. Using a fluke, I tested my battery @ 22.94. The reading on the D6 Pro was 23.05. Wanted to know if you can do a video on calibration. Thanks

SORTED. Switched to LiHV which gives 1s @ 3.8v

I have as cap of 350 watts output when using 12-14.4v think it looked like you had 450... I'm powering with 3s pack right now.

My charger won’t stay in update mode it comes out with in 10 seconds of being plugged in but it won’t go into update mode unless you plug in usb first either

I own the HOTA branded charger but updated with the Hobbymate Firmware, v 1.0.35: hobbymatehobby.com/pages/products-technical-documents-manual I wanted the FAN OFF feature during standby mode (not charging) and I found only the hobbymate firmware activated this feature. (Hota v1.0.38 still has fan ON during standby) This is the way ive done mine a few times..load firmware in Loader FIRST, then POWER ON: 1. Download hobbymate firmware, unzip. 2. Locate and open "Loader.exe" 3. Press "Open" then locate the .prg firmware file > Open 4. With Charger OFF, Plug in USB cable to PC 5. Hold down "CH" button and power ON charger 6. Unit will beep and have a black screen -You now have 5 SECONDS to press "Update" button in the Loader software 7. Loader software will start and confirm firmware has been updated, about 10-15seconds, the Charger will restart and firmware update is complete. 8. Done, confirm update in the system info tab in charger settings.

Got my HOTA D6 Pro from Banggood at yesterday. Noticed that on AC power fan is always on even on idle and is quite loud with that. Had idea that firmware may fix this. Turned out that my charger have 1.0.40 firmware, but latest and single firmware in HOTA web page is 1.0.38. Other sources have even older firmware versions like 1.0.35. Now what? Are older firmware will fix fan working in idle or I should search for quieter fan? There is no fun to wake up all home while my quad batteries are charging at 1 AM.

I just got mine from RDQ yesterday and the same thing on it. Fan runs all the time although it is cool that it already has the firmware to be a power supply.I still really like it and in my case its not loud enough to bug anyone in my house. The only worry is that the fan dies from a shorter life with the fan running all the time.

@@Soulsurferfpv I ordered replacement fan - 5V DC 50x50x10mm. let see if it can help against noise. Otherwise this charger is superb. Even discharged a heap of 6S 1100 mAh batteries to storage in about 30 minutes.

Couldn't you just use liXX mode instead of lipo? Then choose the voltage.

I think it has to do with using both channels of the charger to charge one battery. I haven't tried it though.

Yeap, that what Joshua told me. It is to use the wattage of both channels in one output to fast charge a large battery.
