Kristy Rice puts those tiny magnets inside the watercolor pan with her paint. I thought that was a neat idea. Hope you get better soon.

🎉my boyfriend made me one. They are easy to make your husband could make you one. Keeping you in my prayers. Watch the Canada smoke for plein air. I painted out in it and it made me sick for about a week. Happy painting

Oh my word, Sharon, I'm surprised you didn't hear us all shouting out when Tully grabbed those gouache paints behind your back in broad daylight 🙂 It's always good to see the little fellow put in an appearance, though, even if he does run Mommy a bit ragged at times. And it's good to hear that you're making progress on the health front, even if it must sometimes seem to you that it's two steps forward, one step back. As regards the plein air easel, I'd say go for it. If you were completely happy with the one you bought recently, it would be a different matter. But there's a touch of the flimsy about it that clearly troubles you and this new one might turn out to be something that you're completely confident and comfortable with. Ha! Yeah when I watched it back I saw it all too and thought oh my gosh well he is certainly entertaining people! And I realized that I am the one who left the door open for him to grab the gouache! Thanks for the input on the easel too.

hi sharon.. glad to see you're doing well .. if you want my hard truth , my materials and mediums are never what make me go do plein air painting lol if you want to try the new easel / pochade, then go for it , BUT it's never the pochade box that's going to get you painting plein air lol tough love ❤️ you'll be out there plein air painting because you'll just want it badly on that day , and will go with or without the pochade 😬😬i had bought a used guerilla pochade box, tripod , etc , and i still prefer painting in my lap , or at a table , or against my steering wheel lol do what makes you happy , but that's the hard truth from your art friend, Norakag 😊😊

I watched that cute lil fur ball investigate and pull out the paint and LOLd while he selected a..... TUBE!... omG.. ITS PAINT! Be a good doggie.. take it to momma. Now... Sharon, waving madly, look again. Whew.. titanium must smell good.. who knew. I think a room full of toddlers would be easier. LOL But it was funny watching after the relief.

Hi Sharon, I have a tip for keeping the pans in place and level. Put a small amount of ticky tac under each pan. Just enough to stick. Too much will cause the pans to wobble. It works for me. BTW I have the same IT band/knock knee, wobbly walking issue. I already had the hip replaced on that side 5 years ago but still have pain there every day . I think because the IT band gets tight and aggravated.

Yeah I’ve used the tacky stuff. But I wanted something that was easy to change pans on. I wish I had used the flat magnets I could cut to size but I didn’t. As far as your IT band goes. Massage it every day. And press and hold on the most painful areas until it releases. I also use a magnesium butter which helps. You can buy it on Etsy.

Yay! I never know how much I miss your videos until you post one. I cannot believe how much Tully has grown since your last video. So much for him being on the smaller side. 😂 He is a cutie pie. As for the easel, I would get it. You can always make up a separate plein air bag with lighter items for days you want to plein air but don't want to bother with the heavier items/bag.

Ha thanks. It was a mistake. I cut it myself. But it has had a month to grow out. I cut it a few days before my surgery. I just took the scissors to it.

Great to see you, Sharon! Treat yourself and get the new plein air palette. B4 you get it though, look at the other products on his site. I opted for the flat, non hinged setup: I paint almost exclusively with watercolors & prefer a larger, flat surface. I just love it!

Microfiber cloths will wear out brushes, if you use them for dabbing water/paint off the brushes. Microfiber, although it feels soft, is very abrasive.

❤😊 🤔 Sweetheart, with all the painful suffering you are going through, this new easel will make going outside to paint easier and safer, it makes sense to purchase it. Maybe to lessen the blow of another easel, sale one or two you can part with. They do hold their value so you can ask top dollar and you don’t have to hurry about the sale. Hey, Sharon, glad to see you on here again...sometimes it's difficult to catch up, being the summer and all, but it's always interesting to hear about what you've been up to. I apologize for my guilty giggles as I watch Tilley wreak havoc in the back ground but he's such a gorgeous lil pup you can't blame him for stealing the show some times. I pray you find healing so that you can have more time to do the things that please your heart and soul and in the meantime, consider me a friend who cares and will be back soon to chat, paint and just check in.
