Hi Kaki, I have been following for a while and I've watched every one of your videos. I was scheduled for surgery in January but had some complications during surgery so the doctor wasn't able to finish it at that time. I am scheduled again June 4th. Watching your videos has got me more prepared for surgery and afterwards. Thank you for such great videos and for all of the information you have shared. I can't wait to start my weight loss journey.

Oh my gosh, I can not imagine how frustrating and scary that was with your surgeon not being able to complete your procedure. Hopefully you will have a smooth surgery and recovery this time. I am glad that you are enjoying my videos and good luck!!

Im so happy for you and your results!! I am curous to know what clothing sizes were pre WLS surgery, when you hit goal but before your plastic surgery and then now after having your plastic surgery. I know you said you were very short. lol
@kakisrnyjourney53765 ай бұрын
Hi there!! Before surgery, I wore a 3x top and size 22 jeans. My sizes haven't really changed since plastics- my clothes just fit differently and look better. I now wear a medium top in most clothing and a size 8 or 10 jeans.

@@kakisrnyjourney5376 Wow! Good for you! Im one year post op now and Ive only gone from a 20 to an 18/16 and a 2xl to a 1xl. Im still only eating about 1200 calories a day and am maintaining at a total of 62 pounds including pre op weight loss of 20 pounds. I only lost 42 pounds post op in a year. I cant figure out how someone who weighs 189 pounds can maintain that weight on 1000 - 1200 calories a day. Im 5'3". Ive had all the blood tests and a endoscopy and everything is checking out fine and healthy but I just didnt lose like most. I didnt have the kind of restriction most have in the beginning or even now (I had to start measuring out 3 oz of protein and 1/2 c veg at about 4 months PO to avoid eating too much and still do it), I didnt have a honeymoon period, typical dumping and I didnt lose a ton in the first 6 months like most. I lost slower than when Ive been on weight watchers or low carb, in the past. Im disappointed to say the least.

You asked for suggestion on future shows. Looking at research, reading Facebook post, and watching some KZbin shows I notice that a good percentage of people gain back weight 18 to 24 months and beyond. With your medical and personal experience could you talk about this?
@kakisrnyjourney53765 ай бұрын
Absolutely! I will add this to my video list.

do you use anything on your neck Kaki ? I'm finding I'm getting some wrinkles/looseness. I'm down 45 lbs since January. Slowly but surely it goes!
@kakisrnyjourney53765 ай бұрын
Congrats- this is awesome! I use the dermalogica line of moisturizers/skin care. Nothing specifically for the neck. I am getting some laxity as well- I think it is unavoidable 😞

Kaki by this time next year I will be exploring a tummy tuck and loose skin surgery. Is it extremely painful?
@kakisrnyjourney53765 ай бұрын
My experience was that very minimal pain. My main problem was the swelling, but again it was tolerable. The key, I believe, was the surgeon using Exparel, which is a long acting surgical anesthetic. Be sure to ask your surgeon about it.

Hi you look fabulous! Congratulations on all the new clothing options. So glad your recovery went so well. Happy for you! The main area I’m not thrilled with are my thighs. They are smaller so pants are not an issue even slimmer profile styles. But shorts or swimsuit 😳 oh my! Sitting it looks ok but standing up… not cute. Have you done any research on procedures that may help with loose skin and that dimpling appearance of thighs? Was thinking maybe lipo is option around knees.
