We are lucky now! When I first started buying solar panels they were $3.50 per watt, now if your careful, you can get panels & shipping for less than $.60 per watt! Go solar.
@jwsolarusa5 жыл бұрын
That's right brother. When I started solar back in the 80's I remembered buying solar panels for $10 per watt. Solar has come that far and it's really.... really......cheap nowadays compared to decades ago. Thanks for that awesome memories

7:40 that isnt how that works. Your legs are staggered. So 1,2 5,6 9,10 are on one leg, 3,4 7,8 11,12 would be on a different leg. Its not seperated by evens and odds or left and right leg like you are describing.

nice system! i have a question. "What if" ... what if, if you have a battery on one of your inverter. what would be the inverters setting if connected to battery? will you disconnect the internal Limiter since it is now drawing power from battery, and NOT mppt from solar. What are the values/setting in the interter for 120V USA standard. Thanks

If you get the 2000 240v watt version instead of the two 120 volt 1000 watt version there is a trick you can do with the limiters to accurately measure current from both legs so you can make better use of the solar panel powers.

I am wanting to purchase this larger grid tie inverter and have a few questions. Do you have this 2000w 240v inverter up and running? What is the trick that someone could utilize on this higher voltage inverter? Cheers Bryan
@shawnd5674 жыл бұрын
The trick is to put a sensor on each leg, flipped in opposite directions. Wire them in series and add a 270ohm resistor one of the 2 wires returning to the unit. Not sure why everyone treats this like a secret.

Why output is very less on your system. You mentioned you had 1,000kw system and output is just 450watts Using mppt solar controller with battery backup system is more suitable to draw more power from panels. If so you can connect limiter invertor with battery bank and pull more power. Please explain Thanks

Hi, I have the same model with a total system of 960W of panels, but I'm only getting around 600 ish. I tried it with the limiter on and off. The same output showing, I thought maybe there's some issues with my system, as it's 300w lower than max. Even with full sunshine. I really want to see what you can get with his system. I thought the inverter may be having issues. I was really hoping you guys did a test with the limiter off to see max wattage. Is there a video of that?

You need to have a bi-directional meter for the electric company to see. Otherwise, if you only have a single directional meter, you will pay for the power that you send to the electric company.

Hey jw I got 6 24 volt 245 watt panels hooked three in parallel and three more in parallel connected together and then #12 down to controller if I run each one of the six to a combiner box and then #6 down to controller. The question is when shading occurs will this help me on not losing three panels when one gets shade with the wiring change?
