Yes, soon! I plan to do it over the weekend as I got my camera gear back! :D You should be able to root the Pixel 4 running 11 Beta 1 using the canary builds of Magisk (so pretty much the same way that this video shows).

Yeah that's right, make sure its the Google edition. You might have to ask the seller for more details, especially if you're in the US buying one. Otherwise if its international stock, or local to your country, you should be fine. :)

Hello sir. I can't get the boot.img??? I have downloaded the full OTA images for my google pixle 3xl, but there's no boot.img on it ? even I did extract for the zip file...

You need to download the factory image, not the full OTA zip

For me it doesn't, but you might have better luck using the GPay fix Magisk Module, along with the usual Magisk Hide techniques.

I followed all the instructions as you said them pausing along the way. No problem getting image, patching boot, updating bootloader, radio etc. The update seemed to go fine and resized etc. It said slot_b on most of the commands. In bootloader it says Boot slot: b On the final step reboot to android I get the boot logo briefly then No Valid Slot to Boot. I notice that it installed to slot b if that matters. Help!

Oh almost forgot. Pixel 3A was running 11 beta 2 and Magisk canary and Magisk Manager just fine

Switched to slot a with the fastboot command fastboot boot_slot=a (from memory) . Went through the whole procedure again . Get boot logo for a few seconds then boots into bootloader No Valid Slot to Boot. Oh well I guess its time for the Android Flash Tool and to start over. :(

It really doesn't matter which slot you're on, as long as you don't go around changing it (for no reason I suppose). But that's interesting it found no valid boot slot after flashing all those. I'd try the update command (fastboot --skip-reboot update) again next time you run into the same issue, but also to ensure that 'automatic system updates' is disabled in the developer options.

@@MaowDroid tyvm 😀. since I'm in the enviable position of not worrying about losing anything all I did was use the Android flash tool to flash the latest beta and then just use the instructions to root with majisk Canary and everything works great and I have a fresh phone.
