Bipolar Courage

Күн бұрын

My name is Xanthe Wyse. This video has edited captions in English (as extra difficulty speaking after surgery on my mouth).
I made a decision in earlier this year that I was discontinuing advocacy (15-year journey, eventually under the banner of Bipolar Courage). I don't intend to resume vlogging. Just an update as a lot has happened and some people have asked.
I recently had surgery on my face for skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma). This was quite a big surgery with a painful recovery, as full depth of tissue taken (wedge excision). I am still recovering from the surgery.
My Dad died a few weeks ago. There's been the stress associated with that.
I worked very hard on my memoir, Bipolar Courage: Are You Sure You're Not Autistic? which I self-published just before Dad died.
There will be changes and I am looking for somewhere to live (limited options on a low income plus very high costs of living now in New Zealand).
Just after Easter, the New Zealand and Australian governments announced changes that came about because of an advocacy group I founded (even though I'm not personally recognised and am no longer part of it). A small voice and a big vision can have a big impact. Oz Kiwi was recognised by official leaders in two country.
I have complex health needs myself but purpose keeps me going. I have one more book inspired by my experiences in me. Writing and storytelling are forms of processing.
I have since deleted my old website & blog (bipolarcourage.com).
My current blog is at soarpurpose.com (under the blog tab).
My book links are under the book tab.
Nearly three full chapters of my memoir can be read on Amazon. Ebook and paperback formats are on Amazon (all major Amazon platforms). I will add the ebook to other major distributors in around 3 months' time.

Pet Purpose: Your Unspoken Voice

It will take me some time to complete Soar Purpose (sequel to Pet Purpose).
I am also intending to write a guide on how to write and self-publish your story (on a shoestring budget).
