It was a dumb move on KI's part to show support for Ukraine because it opeend the door for situations like this. Wizard101 is supposed to be our happy place dude, I sincerely hope they say nothing about this awful war and just continue doing what they normally do. I'm not condoning Russia or Israel btw, but Wizard101 is NOT the place to address these kinds of things. I hope you come to your senses and realize this too

I don’t remember at this point if I mentioned it in the video, but one day the cruelty of the world will impact you, and that day you’ll be begging for others’s help, but no one will come to your aid. When that happens and you complain about it, I hope you eventually will also come to your senses and realize that as well.

I'm not really sure how to best word a comment here, but I just wanted to express support for you and the cause. Political issues like this are often difficult to talk about, but the less people talk about them, the bigger a problem they inevitably become. And I think particularly Israel's genocide in Gaza and the West Bank is even more difficult to oppose, considering how many Western politicians are willing to turn a blind eye, or even directly support it. That being said, I'm glad you seem to be doing pretty well in other aspects of life, and your job sounds really cool!

As mentioned in the video, the reason was twofold: 1. It was meant to gather people’s attention which it did. 2. I did not want to continue promoting KI and going “business as usual” until at the very least they make some sort of public statement or hold a similar charity.

However I feel Wizard101 should not be used to promote political ideals across the board. Unfortunately most people who play care very little and just want to play their game. If anything your content shows how to give as little as possible toward KI.

Seems like the videos will stay down forever. Preach as much as you will, but I don't see an american company aligning with your expectations. USA is politically owned by Israel. Americans complain over and over again, but there is no end to the billions of dollars of aid granted to israel by usa political scene. And KI? I agree on that but we need to also remember that they are just a gaming company not a political one they can do what they want and if we boycott them they might lose some money but in the long run it won't affect them as much but I do have to give it to for standing up for what you believe not many people do that and I have to say we are having a civilised discussion which I think is also good in the world...also I do think this will hit them harder then it would another company as wiz isn't the most popular game to begin with

I get what you are saying here, I really do. Unfortunately, as a global company, there is a lot more at stake than we know about as to why companies can only go so far. KI has a charities policy which is much more than the average global company has but they need to remain impartial to politics, religion, ethnicity and gender issues. As a teacher, I am limited as to what views I can express and in which venues - despite my whole life being devoted to children of all ethnicities and this is due to my employer's stance. As an Australian, our gun laws are far more stringent than many countries. As a child, we needed guns on our property as it was thousands of acres and they were a necessity in life but please be aware that it is not a good idea to show them in video. I would love to have heard how the "red tape" is going on your sweet wife coming to live with you - maybe you could make a vid on how she's going? We only got glimpses last time. I appreciate your comment again. I got a status update just yesterday saying the estimated wait time for the petition was four months, so I’ll have to call them and ask because they initially gave me a time frame of 9-14 months, but 4 months from now would put it at 16 months.

I just read your comment again after revisiting this and I just wanted to respond to this. I am aware that KI has a certain policy which is that they need to remain impartial to politics, however I don't believe that shields them from this because Ukraine was also a political issue, yet they took a stance on that. This current issue, especially now with the current context two months later and how there is potentially a larger global-scale conflict potentially escalating as a direct result of it is honestly less political than Ukraine was since there have been far more children killed and many more starved than what Ukrainian children went through. I don't mean this to say that Ukrainian children matter any less, they matter just as equally as any child anywhere in the world. However, based on KI's actions, it doesn't seem that they care as much when the child is from a country who isn't supported by American interests. As far as the gun stuff goes, I'll try to keep gun content separate from my Wizard101 content for now besides maybe talking about them on live-streams. I personally feel like to keep children safe, if an adult in the house owns a firearm, a child should be educated on what to do if they see a gun and to tell an adult should a gun ever be left in an unsafe place. In Australia, things may be difference, however there are so many illegal guns in the United States that in order for an innocent person to stand a chance against a criminal, the cops are minutes away while a firearm is just seconds away. Also I am not very fond of the police since over the last few months, I have seen them mobilize to trample on First Ammendment rights which include freedom of speech, religion and freedom of expression. In good news however, the petition successfully went through and I am now in the latter stages of finalizing the VISA process and then just waiting for her interview date. I am likely visiting her in a few months after two years and I am super excited about that. You missed the point of the video, let me address everything you mentioned in this comment chain, I usually only address one point at a time. 1. Refer back to the part of the video where I said something along the lines of people don’t like talking about politics until it affects them. 2. What terrorist group? As established, the party responsible for the genocide is Israel/IDF. They are the ones bombing Gaza and have every ability to stop, Israel is not a natural disaster, these are all actions approved by humans. 3. That is not true and there are two issues with your last statement. By holding KI accountable at the very least and compelling them to run a similar charity, even if one extra child in Gaza is able to have one more meal, we have done something, not NOTHING. Also, we may be “1,000,000 miles away but if you have a job in this country, your tax dollars are literally funding the genocide when they could be used for better things at home.
