Hi guys! I thought it was about time that I did another one of these - a look at how much I spend on an average week living here in Seoul. My spending honestly revolves around how much I'm filming since on days that I dont film I'm probably sitting at home editing but I think that this was a good look at some fun things you can do and how much they cost :) Hope its helpful and let me know if you'd like more informational vids like this! Love always~

Food and transportation in Kores are CHEAP ! $1 for bus or subway ride? Living in the US, you have to pay tax+tip for every food in restaurant. For transportation, you need 2-4 cars for 4 members of family. Maintenance +fuel alone costs a lot

I love your observations on the price range differences of certain cuisines and produce. I've seen a lot of YT videos on what it takes to maintain a vegan/vegetarian diet in various Asian countries, and those videos tend to focus on restaurants and what can be bought at grocery stores, without considering the price tag.

Food are so expensive here. For what i notice : Tofu, bean sprout, white radish, tteok, noodles flour are affordable. i found quite cheap frozen veggies in a mart name "Food and" if you wanna check. I think rice is super expensive TT. I'm really on a budget and it's pretty difficult when you want eat properly and a bit diverse. I struggle even to find not too expensive cabbage or potato which are suppose to be local and season veggies here. And i'm in Busan, so it's suppose to be cheaper than seoul. Also as a vegetarian, i struggle to eat meal outside that make me full for a "normal price". Yes, i can buy a kimpab for 2500 but i'm not gonna go far away with that. So i'm cooking, mosty korean, japanese, chinese because that's the cheapest food to buy and they share a lot of ingredients ^^

May I applaud you just for the honest look at the logistics -- financial or otherwise -- of the "content creator lifestyle." I've only recently found your channel this past year, so I never saw your original cost-breakdown post, but I find it super commendable that you choose to show your viewers the reality of how you live. Considering how many younger people might look up to people like you and other youtubers, it's a refreshingly responsible way for one to use their influence and I respect that. Keep it up!! 👍❤️

I can totally vouch for Korean food being sooooo cheap! You get a meal that can be shareable(depending how much you can eat) and the banchan... oh my god, it should be like that here too at the other side of the world. If people cannot handle spicy food, you can ask them politely to lessen the spiciness and they'll do that for you. :) No matter how expensive it can get, I would always go for goguma latte if it's available. LOL That was my very first drink when I travelled to SK few years back so it made it to my top drinks to try when going to SK.

I'm glad you brought up coffee as the first thing. When we visited Seoul a few years ago, that was one of the first things that struck us; the coffee costs a lot more than in Canada! Like, the first place we went too wasn't even fancy, it was corporate-y / Starbucks-like (I think it was called the Coffee Bean). Anyhow, it was equivalent to like $4.50 CDN for a drip coffee, when usually it's about half that at home... even at the fancy joints!

I actually rewatched the video from 3 years ago recently and also after your new one it really makes me want to move to Seoul (not only bc of that ofc haha). I love big cities and tbh many Americans comment like "it's affordable but you don't make as much as in the US"..... idk about the US, I live in Poland and except for the groceries everything's the same price basically (also the rent). I'm studying Marketing and the average salary is 5000PLN (per month, BEFORE TAX...., this is about 1,500,000KW), meanwhile in Seoul (it's just based on Google so idk if it's 100% accurate) the average is 3 TIMES THAT. and yes I love living in Europe I think it's super convenient and bc of EU we can easily move to other countries but there aren't as many big convenient and affordable cities (yes in western Europe you make much more but also the expenses are higher). anyways, thanks a lot for sharing with us (money is kind of a taboo topic amongst influencers/youtubers etc), I hope that someday I will also be able to enjoy this amazing city myself. Hope you're having an amazing day Cari, love you

I think being able to eat fruits in the season they are easily harvested is the best! It gives you something to look forward to. haha But I would eat Korean food any day. So delicious! Thank you for sharing this video, very informative. Have a beautiful day!!

Always so shook by how healthy your lifestyle is. I pretty much just eat bread and Diet Coke 🥲.
