As a bard main. Its a good dps but youre stuck at purple build (elegant melody) coz its the only good dps build. The blue build (powerful melody) just sucks so bad. U lose so much dps as blue build.

The reason this happens is because "Duel" works with Burst windows, and it is essential to execute these windows perfectly. After studying the class I decided not to play with her, as she doesn't admit mistakes

if my pubs need melee i will choose Paladin>WR>Barb>SS paladin is good and easy if he spec DPS WR is easy to play so their DPS rarely go wrong Barb in pubs still RNG sometimes they are good sometimes they just bad SS is a red flag if they dont top DPS meter they will at very bottom DPS meter

I love the effort thank you. Can you be mors specific on how you normalized the data. If you're not using weighted averages then this is going to be significantly off in a few areas. Population per class, needs to be factored in and made a weighted average, or this data is way off. If one priest dps is top parse, it very well could be the case priest dps is actually top dps, but without weighted average you wouldn't know that because the population of preist dps is extremely low compared to let's say shadow swordsman and Paladin DPS. Also keep on mind it's not accurate to say this is best dps, as 90% of these are just gaming the parses. If you have discord I can sent you some screenshots, we current have #2-5 top dps NA, and they just join pugs with just enough dps to down boss, but not enough to down it before enrage, and thus let's them rank high on leaderboards. This is exactly how king has gotten top spot dps, he's pugged repeatedly to be #1 dps with lower teams to game the ACT parses. We also have #1 healer NA since we run single healer runs up to synthesis doctor challenge mode. So again, many guild's doing one healer in these runs, and if majority of them are bard, then without a weighted average you'll see using your data that bard is top parsed bard, when actually though it's not the case that bard is the best performing healer, it's simply a population decision picking bard, and solo healing to game parses.

Love the comment. Gaming the parses and population disparities are issues for averaging out numbers, but they aren't particularly relevant for TOP parses. Every spec has people gaming the top parses, so the functionality still applies. The BEST performing specs will still have the best parses. It's the same with popularity of specs. There is representation of every spec on all of the leaderboards, which means there are competent players in every spec, from which we deduce the numbers. I do not take the AVERAGE for these numbers because of the reasons you outlined above. What I do is I look at the absolute best parse for every spec on every raid across all regions. I take the single top parse for each raid, and weigh all of the other top parses against it. I then average the weights for a particular spec across every raid to derive my numbers. What this looks like is Justice: 0.0, Duel: 1.2, Thunder: 15.1, etc. Subsequently I take the "ranking" of every spec for every raid. So Gemini Twins Elite for example, Duel has the highest parse, then thunder, then soul snatch, etc.. I summate all of the rankings to derive a separate value. This helps to reduce the effect that outliers have on the overall ranking, like Rage performing really poorly in Ancient Tree. The 3rd and final value thing I note is the difference between the min and the max "Battle Rating" (their system used to determine All-Star DPS). I simply use this number to look for extreme outliers like Justice or Faith DPS. If a class has a large disparity, I gather the top 5-10 parses instead and compare the results.

​​@@AoLastShelter Thanks for the detailed response, I'll take time to write something up, but there is quite a few dps priest here at 10k dps final damage, Blight dragon downs, with videos of it here on YT for example. So we can see Data, and we see what's actually happening, and what's actually happening is EU dps priests are pulling 9-10ks on Blight, but one comment you made here was preist don't do well on Blight. I'm happy to share a recent EU video where dps preist finished 9.5k dps Blight. I'll respond more fully though here, I think there is a subtle miss in the way you're working the data, and extrapolating it to "best performing dps"

Yeah the highest performing priest pulled a 10,781 dps parse on BD. When I last recorded the data, the highest parsing priest was < 8k dps.

So paladin is best tank and best dps these devs have no clue how to balance i play tamed beast btw and i dont understand why with same gear we do 1k less dps than hunting just fix the class already give it a big buff what are they afraid off and buff them minimally what the reason tk keep playing if my class will always suck...

if you dont be top 1 with tamed beast in a pug or in a semi casual guild its not the classes fault

They did just buff tamed beast, and it increased the damage slightly, but yeah they still need a big buff. I think PVP performance is a reason why balancing is a little tough for them.
