Awesome guide that helped a lot, particularly the maintenance mode. A note on this is you have to have the pokeball plus disconnected to access this mode from my experience. I was having major issues getting my pokeball plus connected to my phone and switch but the reset in there helped me out a ton and it seems to all be working correctly now.

If you put it a shiny in it it'll glow the dominant color of that pokemon unless it's black

I’ve been trying to find a way to make it usable on my PC… it shows up as a bluetooth device but bizarrely it registers as a gamepad with no buttons.

@@giantjaz I mean honestly half the interfaces I see are just four directions, a yes button and a no button. You could easily use it for browsing Netflix, as a PowerPoint clicker, control your lights, drive an RC car, etc once the connection is cracked.

I dont think so, I'm using a regular phone charger and it makes the noise. Your wall charger could possibly be a low power one? A 1amp possibly. If you can find a 2.4amp USB wall charger it should work

+LivaRules i dont have the dock either. I have had it not make noise a couple times but mostly that was when i didnt plug it in completely. Unfortunately i do not know why yours is not making the noise while unmuted.

All i can say is make sure your cable is usb c and in good order and plugged in to an appropriate power block. The rating of it can make a difference. Other than that look for a light to show its charging and if nothing happens try another cable/power block or outlet even and go from there. If nothing still happens it could be a bad unit, battery is old or bad charging port possibly.

Shame it overwrites if you connect to a new game. Means you can’t start a new save and move over one pokemon that you saved in a ball, you have to use home to save any Pokémon (if I’m understanding correctly?)

Not that i tried ot but i would think that it is locked to the game outside of the mew that came with them. But yeah youd either have to use home or trade through game. I think you cant use ball to move cause of trainer id and such. Specifically the eevee or pikachu partner

Because it is muted when you plug it in. Unmute it before plugging it in to here itwhen you plig in the cable.

Mine didn't do anything the first time I charged it right after I unboxed it. I was thinking the battery might have been dead. Seems to work fine now after charging.

Doubt you’ll respond on this 2 year old video, but how do you hold the thing correctly? I try to use the finger ring but the strap gets in the way of me holding it.

The strap is helpful while playing as doing the catch motion can cause accidents so i usually had it on my ring finger but also kinda wound the steing around the other fingers to get rid of the slack. It always felt a little odd and at times id always have to rotate the ball to put it back on the right orientation. Once you use it enough though you kinda get used to it. Id suggest trying different fingers to see which one makes it feel better. If youre not doing a lot of catching id just skip the strap honestly, but what are those games without it.

Yes. It will need a charge before it will do anything.

Im honestly not sure. Ive heardrjmours you can reset it but ive never tried nor seen it confirmed. This may not be a thing that can be fixed as it was just a limited item stored on the device so it being gone was it being used properly

If you check the playlist i have a video about how to just check the battery. But yoi do it by making sure the lights arent on and then push and hold both buttons till it shows up a colour indicating battery level

Just load up the game and when you start it or if youre in game and you select the take a pokemon for a walk option itll bring up a selection screen allowing you to pair it with the system. Just have to push any button and then follow the on screen prompts

I believe it glashes red when it is low, sorry i havent used mine in a while. Also you will not be able to interact with it if it does die. However if it dies you dont have to worry as you wont lose anything.

Yah. Still does. Dont really actively use it though. I just sometimes useit as a controller on my switch if the game would be ok with it.

No worries. To be honest I had a lot of trouble ever getting it to connect to my phone but I blame user error. Regarding durability how long they'll last, id say as long as its treated well it should last and continue working a good long while.

+anonymousass if its at 0% it will most likely. Ot make any noise or light as it has no power. And it will charge as long as the thing you have it plugged into provides enough current.

+anonymousass it shouldnt take that much time to charge it. If you have your switch plugged in to the standard switch dock with ac adapter you should be fine. I would imagine itd be fully charged before 3 hours has passed. And you wont be able to interact with the pokeball plus when it has no power. If you can try plugging it in to the switch dock and leave overnight if possible.

I did and it didnt seem to work but after that I put the standard switch charger into the pokeball and it worked! its charging fully now. I dont know why putting it into the AC adapter didnt work cuz the charging instructions manuel told me to but the charger that comes with the switch thats mainly used for just charging the switch now works if I hook it into the pokeball. It even made the healing sound effect which when i put it into the AC Adapter it didnt even make any sound at all. Its strange but in the end I did find a solution. I hope it doesnt corrupt anything.

I havent had any connection issues with mine while using the switch and either of the lets go games. I know it has some very specific connection uses and requirements though so anything is possible.

If you mean when you close the game completely it will end the connection. I dont mess around a lot with go so i dont know much about that. I think if it works the way the pokemon go plus worked as long as the game is open itll connect, even with the screen closed. But if the game is completely closed all connection will end. Hopefully its similar to that.

As far as being usable itd be 2. Thats the limit of players for lets go pikachu and eevee anyways. I dont have more than the 2 so i havent been able to test any more than that though i really cant see any use for having more than 2 as its almost impossible to use it as a controller for anything else lol

Just one question (even though I probably know the answer) if I use the reset mode of the Pokeball, the Mew that came with it will not respawn inside the Pokéball right? Which means that if have just opened the Pokeball and reset it, I will lose the Mew forever! Correct?

I’d say if you just opened it and reset it, you won’t lose the mew. I’m not sure, but reset it with a pikachu inside, and it was still there after I reset it.

I had to reset my pokeball in order to get it to connect with my Android device. The ball was purchased with a Mew inside, it had never been connected to a switch or any other device, and had never been used before. After resetting the ball, I was able to connect it to my phone successfully, and the Mew was still in there. Still is to this day, as I don't own the switch games

As long as there is a pokemon inside you can play with it. It will not make any difference what software you use as long as you dont deposit the pokemon
