I have to say I don't like that it's difficult to gig the fish on the long line. It takes forever to get out there if you get lucky enough to avoid a crash. In real life gigging fish is really easy. The hard work is setting the lines correctly. There are clearly bugs with the hitboxes and it needs to be fixed. I'm convinced you cant even grab certain fish because they are bugged. Some are clearly bugged and twisting around the line at 5000 mph. If we could fast travel out there than I would accept a challenge but with the current travel times and no fast travel the fish harvesting needs to be fixed or it's going to throw a bunch of people off.

Well. Having spoken to some other players, they av. a miss of just 1 or 2...So it might just be technique? Timing? Position? Luck? Difficult to say at this stage. Good news is newest patch stops 99% of crashes :-)

@@SimUKReviews well the game just sucks like last time they made those 2 fishing game, they pushed it out way to early, you can say what ever really, i was there and i´m here today to see if they have learn from last time , so no they have not and and do the same over and over....this game not ready and not even 5 € worth, it is that bad and you know this for you was there too.....but i think you get the game from the devs, so you baised.

Hi, i have been stuck on something during fishing. Is it possible that when you have an hook in the ships inventory and not your personal inventory that you cant use it for the fishing and cant reel in the line? I have a hook in the ships inventory and i get the message missing hook item. I set out a line with bait of 2500 hooks.

Not come across that, but the hook must be in your own inventory....Perhaps there is some way to swap it?

good stuff, is there a way to sell inventory items from ship? like selling extra long lines or even items personal inventory, i cant long line in the larger teir 2 fishing ship because my inventory is full and cannot buy bait for the long lines, and the ship wont hold any bait ship inventory. maybe its a bug?

The way I did it was when my ship is in the shop, you can still load the longlines with bait and load it in the back and go back outside and the longline bucket will be gone, but that is for the ship inventory but cannot empty my personal inventory, a little annoying. I hope they fix it.

Lol round thingy thing.. nice description. to us real fisherman it is the winch for pulling in our lines. Prices are higher usually when out of season in real life anyway.. some devs have no clue about real world in games majority of the time. I came here because i could not long line and could not unlock long line skill as said will come later on during the early access stage.. was there a update in last 12 hours or missing something..Must of been was no binoculars or hooks . only one bait type.

North atlantic has many ships with many different uses. obviously they were all fishing mind you, but many of the ships were able to be rigged for different fishing types, crab boats were the only exclusive ones iirc. I like the expansion to cargo and service ships. But i dont like how fishing has taken a huge reduction in options. The ships speed in this game, with the distance to travel and no fast travel, has made me put this game on hold until that is fixed. Fast travel being the main one. either straight teleport or just increased speed. hell i would be okay with an Auto pilot with X4 Seta speed increased (the worlds speed increases, not just the ship itself). But with this being multiplayer i can see that being an issue. So teleport Fast Travel is gonna be paramount. That or increase the ships speeds.

Carry them off the boat and either press x to put into inventory (not sure this works anymore) or take them to the shipyard

If you drive too fast, will the line not go out? I tried a 2500 hook line, was letting it out for about 40 mins with no sign of it finishing, in the end I got frustrated and closed the game

ATM any speed is fine. 2,500 line is 2.5km takes a while... need to be in a straight line.

Pick up bucket, get off boat (used to work by pressing x to send it to inventory) now I think you have to take it to the shipyard?

500 is at a guess about 2mins ish x by however many hooks you have.

DO not buy this game, it just not worth it Fishing Barent Sea , Fishing Atlantic was the same issue, just like last time , everything then was as this bad, but this time the boat not under water, but i bought this because i would see if they have learned and what i have seen, not crashed in the tut mission, 2 crash after 25 min, and keep your money and the game play not really a thing in this game. prices just taken out of the blue....so a Simulator , not for me , just a acade game that is really really bad. the devs just never understod . best regards Denmark
