I and one other commentor are having issues with echo (hearing our voice through our mic). This is the second or third tutorial I have tried and I still have the issue. Any help would be appreciated. Also, I am using a USB mic, could that be causing the issue?

dude on discord im using voice activity and it cant hear my voice but if i use push to talk then it can hear my voice. any way to fix this?

@@blindsniper9794 In the "sounds" tab go to Recording -> CABLE Output -> Listen and then, if the "Listen this device" box is checked, uncheck it. If that's not your issue, I'm sorry I couldn't help.

For people who want to Speak and play the soundboard you just need to make Voicemeeter output default and go to cable output in voicemeeter and add VB cable and you're good to go :D

one tip i have is to check the actual sound volume of cable input, for me it was muted so my microphone sounds didn't go to discord. I unmuted it and now it works(had to manually get the volume mix bar for cable input).

I'm probably doing something wrong but my Microphone doesn't playback anything to the CABLE input, so CABLE Output doesn't do anything, either. Then again the "playback through this device" option doesn't seem to work at all. I cant even set it to playing back my mic's input to the Headphones even without the VB Cable in between (if that makes any sense). Any ideas on how to fix that?

wow.. this was pretty technical.. i had to change all my settings in discord, steam, battlenet, windows 10 system settings, mic settings, and the virtual audio cable settings.. ... .. i ended up tweeking so many things and watching every video but i got it to work.. :) ... im going to make a trouble shooting video one day when im bored lol

Thanks, some moron said that in order to play dank memes and stuff through your mic on games you need a sound card. Saved me 30 bucks on a useless piece of hardware because I only use 10 dollar speakers. Subscribed and liked my man.

For some reason the soundboard isn't able to be used when my mouse is being used on Steam or Steam games. I will press the buttons I've set to my sounds and they won't work. But when I press the buttons when I'm using any other program, the soundboard works perfectly fine. Need help.

How you doing dude. First of all, I want to thank you for this tutorial. It provided me with hours of fun. I know you upload it a long time ago, but since still works perfectly in 2018 I wanted to ask you about something to see if you can give me your opinion. Problem/question: I can play anything (music, sound efffects, whatever) through my mic on Discord, Steam, TS, In-game and more with an amazing quality. The problem is when i speak (voice) in-game. For some reason my voice is extremely low. That does not happens in Discord (TS, or any other communication soft) for example, where my voice is loud and clear. Maybe its something related to Steam or something I can tweak. In any case, I thought that asking you would be a good idea because maybe the same thing had happened to you. I already tried to set the reduction to non in Windows. Thank you very much!

CABLE mic always does an annoying buzzing and squeaky sound that goes up and down. It's even seen in recording devices with that little sound volume on the right. Don't know what to do with that.

Ok one thing that's driving me nuts with the video is all your windows are so tiny I have to go full screen. Then minimize make a change. Play some more, pause rewind cause you fly through a setting too fast. Then minimize again change setting. It's like dude you're doing a tut sure but damn slow down lol. Otherwise I got some stuff to work.

well unless he's on crack, i think he sped up the video to 1.25x, so change speed to .75 and it should sound a bit more normal pace

So i noticed that steam removed the voice settings from where it used to be now you have to go to your friends list and click on the settings icon from there, hope this helps! :)

So I download and install the cable software and restart as instructed. I reboot and go back to this video to finish everything, and can't hear anything. I set my "default device" back to my headphones, nothing... (Razer Kraken ultimate on THX spatial). If I disable "THX spatial audio" output in windows/sounds and pick "Razer Kraken Ultimate" as my speakers, it works, but I lose my snazzy 7.1 playback and it reverts to stereo. I'm guessing there's no way to use these stuff AND have my games playing in 7.1?

i was using it and couldn't get it to work with my built in mic. But then i got a real mic and i thought it worked but the audio was either coming out stupidly quiet or just not clear at all. I have no idea why it was doing this but i tried everything such as restarted, adjusting Microsoft audio mixer, adjusting sound preferences, adjusting deathcounter, but just nothing worked. I can hear it perfectly and im just disappointed that it didn't work. Kind Ove depressed because i had some good sounds.
