Updating My 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL Head Unit Software (SW) Display Audio Gen2V DIY Via USB Upload

Hello everyone!
Here is a video on how I updated my software on My 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL Radio Head Unit at Home, in the vehicle…
I was actually looking to update the system in hopes my rear reverse camera would start working again.
This update did NOT fix my reverse rear camera problem… I thought it “might,” perhaps, because the camera image is displayed on this radio unit display screen… Again, this update did not fix my camera issue…
BUT IT DID UPDATE MY SYSTEM SOFTWARE.
This software update updated everything for the head unit, including, the System, the Modem, the GPS, the HD, the uCom, the Display in General, including the Blulink…

Here are some helpful tips for successful completion of the update process:
Don’t forget to follow the directions carefully if attempting this update yourself… Also, you will need access to a computer and USB Flash Drive with a minimum storage capacity of 4 gigabytes (4 gh usb thumb drive). Also, my thumb drive was empty and only had the files needed for the update stored onto it). The vehicle must remain on and running in park during the duration of the entire update. Do not attempt to disconnect the thumb drive during the update process and do not utilize any buttons or touch functions while updating the unit.

Your videos have been so helpful! I just bought a 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL from CarMax and I upgraded from a 2007 so everything is so new to me and I get nervous about it being faulty and stuff but I’m still so excited about my car I just hope it lasts and works well. I did notice I have to update my car but I’m not sure if I should mess with it or not as it’s not acting weird but it’s also just been a day I’ve had the car lol

No need to upgrade now the software or firm ware, or on your own, for now… The Hyundai dealer service techs usually also perform complimentary software upgrades when you bring your vehicle in for regular service intervals… Either way, a day or a year of your ownership, I hope brings you much pleasure!! Nope. And I’m not paying $230 plus tax, for a used camera on eBay. “Hoping,” by swapping it out it “May,” fix my problem… I also refuse to pay $1,200 for the dealer to fix my out of warranty problem, too. I may just hook up an aftermarket one that I know will last ten years+ but certainly not one that I may need to replace 3-6 times in the vehicle’s lifetime, every 6 months or so… This one man named Tony, said he knew a guy who had the dealership replace the head unit and camera like 6 times under warranty…it broke again, out of warranty, and then he crashed it… If you figure out the problem, or know someone who did, like “really” “FiX,” the problem, please let me know. But I’m not paying to fix the problem and then having to pay, yet again, AND AGAIN, to fix the SAME problem. That doesn’t sound like a good solution “for me.” For that, I’d rather get a new problem… Thank you for asking!! 🙏
