Bill, please give this a quick read. I got the stick on version from you. When it arrived, I quickly realized I should've bought a different mounting system because I don't like how tight that wire is betweent the two bottom right front compressor housing screws. I decided to put a washer between the lower screw and inside edge of the housing to create a bit of space. It's just enough where the wire can move freely with some manipulation. I first had a washer on both of the two lower screws but decided to only use one on the lower screw just to have firmer connection. I felt two washers would dampen the vibration in that area somehow. I could be wrong, but I played it safe. Bill, if you feel this isn't a good idea, for any reason, and think I should scratch the washer idea completely, please let me know. That wire would really be pinched with no washer, though, but hey, you're the engineer, not me, lol. Other than that, it was a very easy install. You couldn't have made it any easier. Also, what is the button on the meter for? I didn't touch it. I topped off a Marauder (it only needed a few hindred bar), and saw the little vibration icon blinking, so I assume it's working, but after the fill, the meter still read all zeros. Maybe pressing that button would give me the reading of that fill??🤷🏻‍♂️ That button is calling my name, haha!! 😅

Hello, first my solution does not rely on vibration at all, it is powered directly so POWER ON PUMP = TIME. It probably simply didn't run long enough to hit the first 10th of an hour. Leave the button alone, nothing to see there. If you do not want the wire routed through the cover seam, you can alway drill a hole, feed the wire through and reattach the housing. If the wire is in the middle the pressure on it simply isn't that great.

@TargetForge oh okay. It's a tenth of an hour. Now, it makes sense. I have the CS4-I, btw. Idk if I mentioned that. First, I was going to try and remove one of the side feet and use that hole since I keep it upright 24/7, but I couldn't get those things off without prying. I just dont have access to a drill. I'm not too bothered with the wire running between the housing like I have it with the washer on that bottom screw creating just enough space that the wire doesn't get unnecessarily pinched. It's tight enough to hold the wire where I have it nice and cleanly set up, but it's also loose enough where I can move it around with minimal force if I need to. I was asking if you think this is alright. In the video you said you really don't "recommend" this setup, but I think you only said that because the other ways are more efficient, and not because this way is problematic. Also, internally, the jumper unit, when installed, creates quite a robust contraption. I wasn't sure if there's anything it shouldn't be touching. I did tuck it away towards the power converter end as best as I could, but like I said, it's a sizable piece. I think everything will be fine. I just figured I'd run this stuff by you. Thanks, Bill! Cheers!

@TargetForge Bill, would you recommend an inline filter if one is filling tanks? Also, how often should I hit the bleeder when filling a tank (6.8L)? And should I fill in one big shot, or take breaks and fill in intervals? Thanks in advance. Your pellet keeper bands are awesome, btw! Cheers!

Another SUPER Idea from Target Forge, Bill!! Why didn't you think of that? LOL!! .....Glad to see you, back-on-the-saddle, once more, partner!!.........Hey, just a thought, here, Bill, ....if I were to do the drilling of the 1/4 inch hole, myself, and recognizing the deep, low-frequency vibration that ANY of those compressors would generate, drilling that 1/4 inch hole might well-benefit with a small rubber grommet also being inserted in that hole, to protect the wiring from continual vibrational-chafing by the rough edges of the metal panel....Like I said at the opening, it is just a minor, passing thought that came to mind, Bill....Ron K

Hello Ron! In the actual instruction video that I'm nearly done with, I plan a slight adjustment to the recommended hole size. I plan to recommend a step drill and a 1/2" hole. With the step drill that hole will be easier to debur and if the meter holder is centered in that hole chafing should be minimized. You are quite correct though, a grommet is a great choice.

Got any recommended service intervals?
@TargetForge
@TargetForge 10 ай бұрын
Based on what I've seen, the CS2/3 pump seems ok at 50hr lube service intervals and every other one pull the piston and clean excess grease off and reapply and keep going. I sell quite a few seal kits and I think that is mainly folks running these way over the 20 min limit. Getting trusted data from the field can be a challenge.

How do you install this on a CS4? Does not look as easy as a CS3.
@TargetForge
@TargetForge 8 ай бұрын
I think it's actually easier on a CS4, there is a LOT more room to work. Installation is exactly the same. Unplug the motor, install the jumper, stick on the housing, done!
