What if the OmniLogic phone app is alerting me a critical firmware update is needed, but the actual controller has no alarms and the upgrade screens that allow me to manually check give an “unable to connect to server, check internet connection or date/time” error message? It’s connected to my wifi and I can control with app. Date/time is correct on the controller.

Hi Justin! The update that has happened has caused a few issues like this. We usually recommend visiting this link (hayward.com/support/resources/firmware) and updating the app with the MSP file. We also recommend visiting this site (hayward.com/knowledge-base/how-to-update-omni-firmware-via-usb/) to update the app via the USB method.

@@HaywardPoolProducts thanks for responding. I did encounter both of those pages already, however A) it is unclear which firmware files I exactly need to download for my controller, and B) I’m not sure if my controller has a USB port, and if so, where to find it. Is it behind the cover panel or something?

​@@justinthompson9015I'm in exactly the same boat. The page has so many files I am not sure which ones I need and the page says nothing at all, nor do the release notes help. The USB is on the bottom of mine - I'm assuming you found it since your comment is 11 months ago but just in case. I wish the webpage had a clear indication of which of the 20 files on there I need - do I need both the MSP and MPP, I think so from the notes but I don't want to mess the whole thing up software wise

Hi there! wYou want to see if restoring from the back up, if you created one, corrects the issue. if not, please reach out to your Hayward-authorized repair center to confirm wiring and programming for pump.
