Ty Alex for another amazing review Few questions if I may... Does this camera offer the option to replace the current mirror in lieu of using the straps? Does this camera offer wifi to be able to access a live view at anytime? Can the GPS module be placed in another location? Possibly glove box, trunk, or potentially another out of view spot? For the rear view camera, can it be mounted upside down, and the display would flip like it does on a cellphone landscape to portrait? Reason for this question is that my rear window is tinted and not thrilled about having to put 3m tape on it for the cam. However, I do have a 3rd brake light extended housing (2020 vw jetta) on the rear deck that I could either use the 3m or even the bracket to mount, but the camera would be mounting upside down. You seem very knowledgeable and trustworthy, so I was just wondering if you have any videos or advice for somebody like myself who is looking for parking cams (front and back) that don't require a hard installation. People keep hitting my vehicle while it's stationary (four people since November 2023!), so it's becoming extremely annoying to leave my car parked, as you can imagine.

Hi A! Ah yes mirror dash cams will change the perspective of objects due to their wide angle nature vs the narrow view provided by a normal mirror. If the perspective change bothers you, the dash cam can be used with the LCD panel off so it behaves similar to a normal mirror or you can use one of these ones kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJKtfpSXq5x5mLc or kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZrUfopnh7B2j7c both allow you to adjust between the wider and narrow view with their zoom function. And here is another video where I cover perspective change in more detail kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4G7q6NrhZZne6c And while I love mirror dash cam they are definitely not for everyone, the best way to experience the wide view (perspective change) of an LCD mirror before buying one, would be to test drive a C8, Polestar or a new Toyota or Lexus the higher end models come standard with an LCD mirror. I have reviewed almost a hundred dash cams and so far none are waterproof as far as the dash cam or inside cameras. For harsh environments including waterproofing, your best bet may be an action camera. Cheers!

Hi Alex, I have a ToGuard digital rear view mirror, it comes with a front camera and I also wire it to my Sony rearview camera at the ruck above the plate. I found out that the rearview camera does not work when the temperature is too high. I am not sure which part went wrong. 1. Sometimes when I move the wire, the rearview image is back on display 2. The front camera at the mirror works perfectly fine but the rearview camera is not bought with the mirror, so idk if there is a compatibility issue (everything works fine in cooler weather). Would you mind sharing some thoughts on this issue with your professional perspective? Thank you.

Hi John! It's a very good dash cam, and it's Wolfbox flagship dashcam. That being said I like to say is that there is not such thing as the best dash cam. I think the best mirror dash cam (for you) depends on what you are looking for in a mirror dash cam. I run different ones on my cars so what I usually tell people looking for the right dash cam for them is to start by picking how many cameras does it need to have (2 or 3). Now that you have narrowed your selections, consider how much you want to spend on one, that will narrow your choices even further. Then consider any special features you are looking for such as 360° video, Side Camera, Blind Spot Warning, Backup to SSD, Parking monitor without hardwire, detached cameras, Etc. Finally you would want to compare video quality of your final choices. And I just began working on a video to compare my top picks for different categories, Stay tuned, Cheers!

And these 2 are actually very different and in 2 different categories as far as mirror dash cams. While the have many different features, I think it may come down too if you need 3 or 2 channels. If you need 3 channels then go for the M3 and if you need 2 channels then the T27 is a good choice. The major problem with these types of dashcams is that they overheat during the summer even if they are off.

Great review, I like the wolfbox product, I would like them to just stick with a rectangular screen with 4k / 2.5K and get rid of the top entry cabling as it always looks messy, this can be achieved by either making it a mirror replacement not a silicon clip over type with rear entry cables that can be bundled and run as a single cable, or if clip on is still needed just move the top mounted connections to one side, I really don't like the messy cables coming out the top especially when there are three cables, for us with pickups and rear service bodies, just a 4K / 4K would be really nice because the service body blocks any rear view's from the interior mirror, another good feature would be a light sensor that auto dims the mirror at night as I find they are too bright at night.

Ah I honestly don't know, while I think it does makes sense to sell one product that has every single feature included, based on what I seen in the industry, products are usually done to target specific markets (keeping features separate allowing for multiple price points and models). But I imagine that if there is enough demand for it (and the customer is willing to pay extra to have one dash cam with all the features included) it could happen. However I will tell you, one of the most recurring comments I get is regarding what the best budget dash cam lol But only time will tell, Cheers!

Seems the G900 has been upgraded with the G900 Pro with better Sony sensors and wifi. It's showing up on Wolfbox's website for pre-order. I already have the G900 and love it but wish it had wifi to download videos instead of taking out the sdcard. The G900 Pro will be my next mirror cam to replace the G900.

Hello Alex I’m on my third Wolfbox Dash cam I had an 850 I had a G900 and now I have the G900 Pro this Dash cam is great . It has voice control , to switch from front to rear cameras you can tell it to take picture you can tell it to put on or off Wi-Fi is is fantastic and has a new Sony lenses. Don’t know if you tried it out yet but see if you can get one of those cause, I already have one and I love it. keep up the good work with your videos. I really enjoy them. Thank you.
