Just found your channel while searching for F10 mods. Appreciate the content, especially on mods and upgrades. I’m redoing a 2016 535XI with 38K miles that was in a flood. I’ve replaced 7 modules and reprogrammed with Esys. Got stuck on the DSC and had to take it to a specialist who got it connected and programmed in 3 hours. I’ll be watching your interior swap videos as that’s my next step. Thanks again.

Have the same issue with my Chrysler 300, your method of repair will work for me only 14mm to 16mm and a valve. 😊

always run some oil through the pan to flush out shavings after you tap.

Yeah, that’s always a good idea. I flushed mine out with brake clean, but should have followed up with some additional oil.

I had to do the same thing a few months ago. I bought two extra quarts of oil for flushing purposes.

That looked like a bottoming tap vs a starting….either way it worked! Fuck it! Might want to throw some torque stripe (nail polish works) as a tell tale for checking to make sure it doesn’t slowly work its way loose.

So with that new plug, does it only get torqued down hand tight?

The instructions said to install it hand tight, I went ahead and torqued it down to the standard BMW 25nm value.
