Car thefts have made these popular and these have been hard to find. Positive posts are fatter than Negative posts. Expensive kits include both Positive & Negative posts, so you have a choice whether to hook to your positive or negative side. The one I found on Amazon was shipped only with the positive post. Ever video shows an install with the Negative post. Glad to find this one.

First the one being installed here is not the same remote kill switch provided in the description. 2nd kill switches use the negative terminals not positive. Dangerous to use positive ... if the directions say to use positive I would send it back and look elsewhere ... will have to give this Video a TD! However the product provided in the link shows the switch is connected to the negative post. So the product appears to be OK as far as connection goes ...

What if it malfunctions while you're driving and car stalls in the middle of the highway. Every Time you switch off the battery, the ECU and your radio resets, and last but not least on some European cars, the car won't start unless you connect a dealer/expensive OBD2 scanner to adapt the Throttle position sensor. For example a VW Passat won't start if the battery gets disconnected unless you use an ECU memory saver or use a VAG scanner for the TPS adaptation.

This device would work perfectly if you put about a pound of C4 under the driver's seat, connected to this remote. Guaranteed you'll never have to worry about someone stealing your car again. You may have to do a bit of tidying up when the smoke clears, but, hey, it'll be worth it, especially if you've got video of the event.

Easy installation, but I didn't have the right tools and had to make a couple trips to purchase the right ones. Consequently, it was quite a bit of work for my 77 yr. old skills. My car had just been serviced from the 4th of thefts. The put in a nice new battery, but couldn't loosen the bolts quickly, i.e., purchase of tools. After all of that, when I pressed the remote button the device made a click sound, but it no effect on the power. Sigh! I'm in communication with Amazon and they are connecting me with the company that produces it. I doubt, but I hope they have a solution, so that I don't have to go through all that again. One of my biggest complaints about the thieves who have stolen my car (yes, 4 times) is that they vandalize the inside by writing on the ceiling and dashboard, leaving candy wrappers, even potting soil on the passenger seat one time. The trunk was literally packed with tons of garbage: a filthy jacket, a curly que garden hose, a 4 ft. long wrench and much, much more. Sickening. One time, probably a neighbor the thieves wrote on the top of my car "Not Yo' Honda." Fortunately, it came off. Now I've been told that my wonderful '99 Honda Civic is a primary target for thieves and some people actually sell them for that reason. Oh god!!!

Same here bro, I think I just need to switch the little wires from black to black and red on red to black on red and red on black, the big terminals are red red black black but If thats not the problem you won't hear from me again because I'm tossing it in the garbage (I don't understand why red is going on black)

No I'm afraid not, this is a gadget to isolate the whole circuit you can of course buy a device to isolate a single engine part like the fuel pump rendering the car dead/killed hence kill switch.

Yes, there actually is a solution: Install about a pound of C4 under the driver's seat, attaching it to the ignition wires, but be sure to turn off the device before turning on the car. You'll never have to worry about someone stealing your car again. You're welcome.
