you really didn't need to get new stabs imo. i have the same board and with a few mods (clip + lube, holee, bandaid) i got the stabs to sound pretty nice. still nice job tho!

My roof leaked during a heavy rain and unfortunately the leak was on top the board, luckily I was not using it so it wasnt busted after drying it

I have same issue on Tecware keyboard. The paint is not really good, especially on the edge. And I have same plan to repaint to white. Overall, the keyboard is good. just the paint need to be better.

Theres an extra screw that secures the plate and pcb and its covered in soldering led, you will need to remove the led first before unscrewing. I guess this was done as tampering proof

I got this keyboard too but I found out that one of the screw got soldered. I did remove it using sucker but the solder still stuck on the screw :(

You can try going to a local hardware store, but mine was just reused from a package, the foam was used as packaging foam

only with outemu compatible switches. akko cs & gazzew boba u4t are some of the good switches you can put on the pcb. gaterons or kailh switches might need some modding to the pins or you can desolder the hotswap sockets and solder the new switches to the pcb (which makes you lose the hotswappability).

hey man, we have the same kb. upon disassembly i found that there was this lock like hinge at the back of the pcb, and i think it is connected to the steel frame. how did u managed to unlock or remove it? Thanks

What!? Yours came with foams!? Mine came with absolutely nothing! Plus one of the screw holding the plate and the board was soldered, so I have to desolder it first. You can imagine the horrible pings it produces! Anyway, great tutorial. Cant wait for someone make the cable detachable using USB C daughterboard. 😉

Hey, so I have heard lots of things about gateron switches needing to be clipped/squeezed to fit in this board, do you know if you have to modify them to get them to fit?

you do, because of the specific type of hotswap sockets this board uses. i have tried forcefully stuffing gateron milky yellows into this board and it just bent the pins and deformed the contact leaf. If you get the Elite version of this board you can fit other brand of switches instead of just outemu. Or if you're into tactiles and silent linears you can check out Gazzew's Boba switches, which are good outemu switches.

@@maxbojdo9141 i have never done it but thats the gist of it, you're basically just trying the make the pins thin enough to fit in the sockets. I remember seeing someone on youtube make a video about it with his gateron yellows, you can look for it
