Hey Everyone,
Today we are officially starting the pre wrap prep for the TT's cosmetic transformation. The first thing on that list is to fit a new front splitter. I have been missing one for a while now, and it is finally time we right that wrong. In this episode we were also given a really cool opportunity that I am giving an introduction to. I am so excited to show you all what I have been working on!

Hunter another amazing job with the video. Glad that your choose our street front splitter looks like a perfect addition to your build. Plus with all this great feedback in the comments section will finalize strong with the ducktail extensions. Everybody stay tuned on the sideskirtssssss 😀

I like the look of the turn ups/wings on the sides of the old front splitter. Makes it look a bit more aggressive. The spoiler looks a bit thin, and from certain angles, it doesn't match the look. Directly from behind, it looks good. Maybe a thicker spoiler with the same shape that the original fits into would finish it off. The only way to find out what you like is to try. I'm looking forward to the wrap. I'm hopefully going to look at a potential tt next week.

I agree about changing it to make it fit better with the oem spoiler. I think you are on to something with the thickness. I'll collect all these ideas and we can mock up a better version for the next episode! Thank you for the support.

The toolbox seat craps me up! I actually just did all of the brakes on my fathers car yesterday and he purchased a similar item for me to do the job. Let me tell you it added to my work flow. Very useful for multiple use cases. Glad to see the TT get an upgrade! Sending support from the east coast. On to the rest of the video!

You should get the clear reflector inserts for the headlights. For the spoiler, maybe if they could make one to slid over the stock one to increase the length and width would be cool. Like make it more duckbill'ish? Just a thought. Not sure how I feel about a thin piece just glued to the back of it.

I really like that front splitter! I will be ordering one in the spring. Not sure I really like that spoiler extension though. I've been trying to find an OEM extension, but they are pretty rare in the states. The rolling mechanic seat is a game changer. Mine doesn't have the drawers, but I still find it very useful when wrenching or detailing my TTs.

I love the front splitter too. And the best part of the spoiler is we can adjust or make changes to the style before it becomes a real offering. So if there are any specific changes you can think of let me know. I have some ideas. I completely agree about the seat! Thank you for the support!

I've seen these flat front splitters work really well with the VR6 bumper, since it comes down lower as well. The rear spoiler extension I think would look better if it would be flat with the original spoiler and not below.

Awesome video!! Would be cool if you took your headlights apart and retrofitted a projector in. Would be super easy with those headlights.

Hey dude. So I feel like the absolute best front end look of the mk1 TT is definitely by way of the bumper from the VR6 model. But as all of us are aware, they’re ridiculously priced, that’s if you can find one in good shape. The splitter in this clip is a good alternative though. I like it’s potential and I’ll be looking into this company for my car moving forward. I have the entire suspension to refresh over the winter. Looking to also add the OEM 18” wheels before spring. Thanks man, looking forward to more content ✌🏼

It really is pretty wild how expensive the 3.2 bumper is. I really like this offering and im blown away by how firmly it fixes to the bumper. I think it has a ton of potential if we design some matching parts to continue the lines it creates. I am glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the support!

Hey Hunter, the TT is looking awesome, gotta be honest, was not a fan of the initial front spliter your had but the new one looks so much better. Has you mentoned the front lights, I really like the stock options of the TT, both the black and the grey ones that are found on the V6. To give the headlights a cleaner look, check the clear blinker lights for the stock lights. It removes that orange blinker stripe for a more sofisticated appearance. Cheers!

I am glad to hear you like the new lip! I'll have to look into the V6 headlights to see if I like them more. Thank you for the awesome suggestion and the support!

Been trying to find a front splitter for my tt ... unfortunately I don't think this is the one... too bland and "flat".. same for the rear extension... doesn't "flow" with the lines of the tt.. love the tool box seat though... need one in my life.. any more info on the osir front lower??
@HunterDirection
@HunterDirection Жыл бұрын
It is definitely a different style than the last one I had on the car. I think it will flow a ton better after we design some side skirts to continue the lines and blend them into the tt styling. After we tweak the design of the spoiler it's gonna come together more as well. As far as the osir front lower bumper, I've definitely got some plans for it in the future so you will hear more about it going forward. Thank you for the support!

@@KBronze13 here is a link to it. www.osirusa.com/fcs-ttmk1-front-chin-spoiler.html It's quite expensive but it does really look good. It supposedly attaches to the oem bumper which is pretty cool.

@@HunterDirection enjoy your videos and it has helped me with my 01 roadster. I was talking with a new supplier about virtual cockpits mods for the mark 1. His partner would 3d scan the cluster and create a 3d insert to house the display. The gauge supplier has all the needed harnesses to make the conversion. If you would want to look into this, I can put you in touch with them. I think it would be a very desirable mod and the goal is to look as if its oem. I plan on trying this in March. Lmk, if you have any interest. Going to reach out to the UK tt guys as well. Keep at it. I want to see you wrap it.

@DustySteel

@@HunterDirection you can’t really find bigger ones like they make for Hondas. The ones they make for the B5 S4 are small like little lip spoilers. I would like one that actually provides some shade for the rear.
