Dude can you please tell me how many NM do you use? I’ve never drifted in real life and the answer is not exact. I’m drifting now with 18nm which I hoped mimicked no power steering drifting. But I got no idea and let alone a pro car.

@@Wurldly 18nm sounds like a lot. I run around 12nm in the wheel driver settings, with FFB on track adjusted on the fly to around 130% depending on the car. This feels pretty good to me and similar to my silvia track car, but yea every IRL car is different. non-power steer cars run less caster angle so the steering isnt so heavy, while power steer cars with broken or not working power steering is way heavier than it should be. The weight of the car, suspension setup and even the steering wheel rim size also has huge impact on the forces felt at the wheel

Sick dude. I run the Real Gear pedal set with the load cell E-brake and its a game changer (after stepping up from modded logitech). The clutch is average, but the brake is totally amazing. it uses the same adjustable hydraulic slave setup as your E-brake with a willlwood pedal. would recommend 100%

You should make an Assetto Corsa setup video. I have a wheel, VR headset, and Assetto Corsa but the game looks horrible and doesnt feel right, i cant even figure out how to make the cars drive right. If you made a video showing your mods, maps, wheel settings, car tunes ect that would be amazing

Getting my first ever rig with Fanatec Podium F1 (with extra wheels). you can't with a hydraulic handbreak, you would need to leave the car on gear to use as a handbrake. Not practical for a street car

Oh yeah how many Nm do you run your base at or give me a percentage how high you turn it up i use 50-60% on a 12Nm base so around 6-7 Nm for me feels best

Honestly no the DD2 is savage. My only gripe is the quick release system. But it’s an awesome base. No plans of changing ANY time soon.

Depends how crazy you wana go. You can start with a console and a $300 wheel, pedal and shifter set up, to a full blown PC build, with a motion rig and VR which can cost tens of thousands. a sim grade wheel and pedal set will run you about 2K plus a shifter, ebrake, monitors (or VR) and a PC of your choosing. For a decent entry level setup, i would look at a something like a $1000 PC, a thrustmaster T500 wheel, pedal and shifter set or similar, and a $100 ebay handbrake. That will get you sliding with decent realism and immersion

Idk if I ever will. If I could build a second sim with motion I would. But I like practicing without motion, I believe it’s helped me to stop relying on g forces and vibration to drift and made me that much better when I do have that extra information.
