Easy to get the zf320 just got to find a e39 528 and it’s easy to find that cuz the e39 ages like milk

Hey man, so i have a Zf GS637BZ in my 93 325is and my 3rd gear is gone (im pretty sure its syncro) but i just want to know before i go out to purchase a new trans if ANY GS637BZ would work to replace my current one.

Wait so this might be a dumb question , so i currently have a factory 325i with a 5 speed getrag and wanna upgrade to a zf transmission, would i be able to bolt up a zf Trans directly into my e46 with the stock Getrag driveshaft and rear end or would I need to get a new drive shaft and rear end?

I believe you would just need the front half of the driveshaft that’s for the zf trans, everything else should work, but double check me on that
