UPGRADING YOUR WOOD-MIZER SAWMILL - SIMPLE SETWORKS COMPUTER INSTALL - EASY OR HARD?

A step by step installation of the Wood-Mizer Simple Setworks on a 1999 LT40 hydraulic sawmill. As always, there are some challenges along the way, but I think you will find that the install isn't that difficult for a normal person with a little mechanical ability to do well.

Which number on the back of the up down switch was that orange #14 wire connected to? I am actually trying to disconnect simple set.

Very good video. I purchased a used LT 40 last Feb. and planning to put a simple set on it also. this was very informative video, thanks for doing it . I hope to find one of you running the mill with the simple set. John

Good job. Lubricate those drum switches when you are in there. Love my simple set. What was wrong with the motor?

Motor was showing too much resistance. The internals were out of whack. A 21 year old motor like that one is bound to fail eventually. The newer motor was much smoother and faster.

Ok, so thank you for an excellent video. I am wanting to add the simple set to my mill. How ever woodmizer says that it will not be accurate on a mill older than 97. How ever watching your video very closely, I really couldn't see any difference in the control box. yours is, newer, a little cleaner layout. But when I look at the layout inside, sure looks the same. Even the gearbox is the same. My mill is a 93 LT35HD. I think, I'am going to go for it.

They go for about $1200. Not sure what it would cost if Wood-Mizer installed it for you.

Nice video. My 99 super 40 42 hp kubota has the first accuset on it that works great so far. But if it fails I believe I'd go this route over the accuset 2 option. Can I ask how much woodmizer charged you for all that?

I wonder is this kit works on the lt40 super hydraulic mine has the motor sticking out the back basically oposite of yours
