Chris as much as I love the NERO Show (and hope that it will continue for a long time) I really missed thise kind of Videos! You mentioned in the show that you often find trainings content etc. a bit boring but I absolutely love those kind of Videos or race breakdowns like these, so I would love some more Videos like that :)

Great video Chris. One thing I like in Dylan's videos (since you questioned in the pod what makes a good race vid) is when he gives you an idea of what sort of effort was required at different stages in the race. Like average power up each of the climbs or whatever. For some reason it helps me feel more in the race, and is good to compare to see if I could have held on in key sections. His are basically the only race vids I watch, and I think that's a big part of it.

I think @Jasper Verkuijl had a video where he raced in California. Same team tactics: every team had someone up ahead so they just soft pedaled for the remainder of the ride. He was quite frustrated given it wasn't an important race so it didn't really matter who won.

Between the heat and the course profile, Patterson Pass is probably the hardest race in Norcal. Great result out there and great video chopping up the action!

The years I raced this event as a 35+ 1/2/3 it was fairly hot but there was a fog bank sitting right at the top of the main climb with the most insane, soul crushing headwind on the steepest parts towards the top. Your 6-7 mph grind slowed down to 3-4 mph 🌬😨

You need to watch more VC videos, he explains the surges and those "annoying" people working as teams "unofficially" and holding the group back while their team mate pulls off the front on key sections making riders like you surge constantly to burn your matches

Your lack of understanding on why a guy wouldn't pull you up to the front when he has teammate shows you need to learn team tactics better. You would likely never see that in a pro peloton, and you would never see Jeff Linder of NorCal help you either. He wants you to wear yourself out getting there and keep himself fresh to help his teammate better when he gets there...or attack over the top when he gets there. He shouldn't be helping you.
@sharonmoller74149 ай бұрын
Actually you do see it plenty in the pro peloton, even world tour although typically by teams like Movistar which is a different matter altogether LOL
