The black chairs are gorgeous! Have been binge watching your channel for the last week and have just finished my first chalk painting project. (For the upholstered) They used their Pneumatic Staple Gun (from Harbor Freight) with 1/2 inch 18 Gauge Staples. Gotta get me one.

Jami Ray Vintage great choice of fabric for the chairs it really brought them back to life ❤️. One tip for keeping a good pair of scissors away from kiddos is to put a small master lock 🔒 through the handle and keep the key with your car keys.

At first I was not excited about leaving the chairs black. BUT the checks made me change my mind! They look classic or funky, farmhouse or traditional clubhouse/golf. We have LOTS of golf communities here in Southport, NC and believe it or not people actually use golf as a decorating theme! BLECH! I also like the white bench, but am not fond of the blah fabric. But I understand that we have to keep the client in mind.

Oh my gosh you guys! I had that exact same bench! It was in great shape and we only reupholstered the pads. I had it for years and decided I didn’t like it anymore and sold it in a garage sale! Those chairs are everything! Great job!

Sometimes you have to part with the old furniture so you can make room for the new things you love! (Zeb claims I turn the house over once a year lol. I’d say it’s at least every year and a half!)

Have you ever chalk painted something that stays outside. I am hoping to do a red chippy look on a chicken coop how would you protect it from rain?

Almost all of my furniture stays inside. But. You can use these paints outside. Just seal the piece with UV resistant oil based polyurethane that’s rated for outdoor use. I chalk painted my front door two years ago and sealed it with the UV resist polyurethane and it’s still going strong. Holding up really well to these Utah winters.

It’s a 60 gallon husky compressor. We started spraying paint with an 8 gallon husky compressor.

Sometimes you have to staple the springs back in place. If it’s all intact I get a new piece of foam and upholster that down.

Great question! The staples hold the wooden insert in place as well as the fabric so I would have to use trim over the top either way. 😊
