It is almost one and a half year since I backed this game. My first Kickstarter ever. I have done a lot since then. Yesterday I received my my copy. At first I had worries if I will get this to play at home. After that long time it seemed to be a bit overwhelming, BUT then I noticed: it comes with a heck of a rulebook. I do not know if I ever have seen rules written that crystal clear! In addition, as you can see in this video the game literally takes you by the hand and leads you through every single step. Great job, Nemesis Games! And btw, the quality of components is outstandig. Just can't wait to bring it to the table!

Excellent playthrough. Very clear and easy to understand. My copy arrived just before Christmas and so have only managed one game so far. Quality is excellent and the support of the designers has been consistently good, throughout the campaign and beyond. Definitely a keeper this one?!

49:26 About that move action with Syndra's teleport ability: If you want to use this action, do you have to pay an action crystal? So it wouldn't matter if you pay the crystal for the "Move" action or for the "Teleport" action. 56:49 Update: Should have watched the whole video first :D Ah and thank you for the great video. hey just want to know, what happen if horde step into the capital, and there are two legions there? if they fight each other, how do we resolve the fight? do all legions give all dice they have in one combat with the horde? or the horde would fight it 1 by 1?

Great video. Thank you. At 56:20 you flip a tile that says … + place 2 Garrisons on empty hexes with no x. And you placed 2 lvl 2 garrisons. It is v confusing as the whether these instructions refer to quantity or the level (1 to 3) garrisons. Assume i would have said “place two 2 garrisons” to match what you did?

Got a confirmation from Dirk. You made your life harder. It should have been one lvl 1 garrison on empty hexes.

Received it yesterday; played also my first solo round. After reading that I have to remove all the skull cards for the first games I thought "You are not the boss of me!" and difficult games means more fun ;). Well, I lost horribly. Want to play again hopefully soonish.

Great review. I hope you still be doing chapter 3 and 4 sometimes; since I am wondering how things go when things get more hectic. I played my first game yesterday, and I got crushed; mainly because I was nog aggressive enough to kill off the Chaos gaining too much curses. Looking at your play through makes me realize that this is import. Rulebook also says so, but hey… no pain no gain. Need to feel the pain first :).

When you are placing a garrison on the capital and it already has a level 3 garrison present, you place the garrison on ANY empty hex without an "x". The hex does not need to be adjacent to the capital. If there are no empty hexes without an "x", you then reinforce an existing garrison.

When you rolled archery in Golgardei at 58:20 you rolled the Berserkers dice. It's not a rider Unit tho, do you wouldn't have rolled it! Ah, I think you just confused the Slavers and Berserkers! Overall this is was about as many mistakes as we would have in a 2 chapter game and we're not recording and talking on top. Really well done. Super good video!
