@@Praise___YaH OK, so you injected a total non-sequitur comment about religion into a discussion about music, banjos, and happiness. It's great that you want us all to find Jesus, but a lot of us already have, and even Jesus didn't sit around saying praise Jesus all day. This discussion has been elevated by popular upvotes, so you are in the spotlight. I strongly request you to show how your comment relates to the discussion, or apologize; otherwise people will dismiss whatever brand of Jesus you are trying to promote on the basis that it tends to suck the brains out of the skull.

@@r.w.7232 Good point. The strings are pretty light & flexy. So there's a definite twangy character to it. It's like the clowns in a circus if you came to see the perfection of acrobatics... Something like this goes for bagpipes. Some people (incl. Y.T.) like them, other's find them hideous. The Scots would bring them to battle, it riled up the Brits so they'd make bad decisions.

What a crazy happening in life not 1 not 2 but all 3 brothers are musically inclined and all worked very hard to be so. Amazing to see these young men playing old time instruments and be DAMN GOOD at it.. These brothers have something special (as if their past lives was spent doing just this) Outstanding to listen to in my opinion and they're literally right up there with the great Earl Scruggs he would be amazed to hear these young men play. They can only get better with age, band or solo doesn't matter. Much love to these brothers.. Om Shanti

My people brought this music over the ocean with them from Ireland, Wales Scotland and England. This is all folks had for entertainment and the Gaelic soul still lives on in many of the old traditional bluegrass songs that evolved from our ancestor's...The beauty IS the strings and the wood. It's a purity that I feared might be lost eventually..but even a snobbish electronic musician cant keep his feet still when in the presence of good bluegrass band. It plucks an ancient chord in your soul because, chances are, your folks came from the same areas originally!

Dear Lord, thank you !! I was beginning to think that every kid over the age of 8 had a cell-phone permanently grafted onto their hand and only listened to gangsta rap with the bass turned all the way up! It's just nice to know that somewhere out there are young folks that actually enjoy playing this music without mom and dad threatening to take away their x-box if they don't practice. Thanks, guys for keeping this music and these instruments alive so that everyone can now get in on the secret us country folk and hillbillies have known all along, BLUEGRASS IS COOL !!!

They are certainly in a position to recreate Bluegrass in the way Flatt and Scruggs did. They are the new generation of Bluegrass. Their vocal pieces shine above the pale. In the same way early Bluegrass told the stories of the Appalachian people, the young men are writing contemporary lyrics, combined with a modern rendition of Bluegrass instrumentals. I've been listening to Bluegrass for 50 years and these musicians are renaissance Bluegrass of the first sort. They give me hope that the sound is evolving. Yes, there will be purists but Sleepy Man is introducing Bluegrass to a whole new generation in the same way Flatt and Scruggs did in the 1950-60s. Good luck guys! I have two CDs and look forward to purchasing more.

Bob Bard It's not bluegrass it's a new genre called "Blueass" , bluegrass was played by people that worked and weren't given everything they wanted. They play really good but stop the singing. The singing and drums make it sound like shit. And on top of it all they've grown into fuckboys. The world today smh. They need to come down South and live they'd be a big hit
