Very simple and easy to follow instructions. I ordered the battery from Amazon and replaced it yesterday in under five minutes. Everything is up and running as it should be. Thank you so much!!

Thank you very much! Being an old crippled blind lady it was more of a challenge for me to accomplish this, but with your video assistance I was successful! Thank you again!

You just earned yourself a sub! Nicely done, not only am I going to replace the battery instead of pitching this thing in the trash , but I also know how to revive old lead acid batts, thanks to the wonderful world of KZbin.

Glad this helped. We had a lightning strike a few months ago and it zapped this UPS and Internet gateway. Thanks for the comments.

I wish my battery would come out as easily as shown in the video. I got it to move out slightly (putting the end of the battery even with the outside of the case above), and it won't budge any further, even pulling on the tab adhered to the side of the battery. I was hoping for some missed procedure, tip, or secret technique. I did finally manage to get it out, and there was an almost imperceptible bulge near the center of one side of the battery. I'm talking "Is that actually a bulge or just my imagination" size, but apparently enough to really wedge it in there.

Glad you were able to remove the battery. I recently had a lightning strike on the phone line coming in and it fried the AT&T gateway and UPS. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks for this video. I was getting ready to chuck the whole box. Doesn't happen very often, but when the power does go out, it is nice to have a battery backup so you have wifi.

I would guess the battery is trickle charged while the backup is connected to power.

This is for backup power on our internet modem.

It has a 12v barrel output. Mainly intended for Wifi routers but can also be used on anything else with a 12v barrel input. CCTV systems come to mind.
