sir, as u have cover in first lecture, there is no quality public admin video on you tube. i agree, indeed your video gives us a good platform. i can understand your effort to make such video.i am viewing every video and its worth a watch. sir i am working in govt sector now i am banking on you for preparation. sir i can not take coaching due to paucity of time, so please sir complete the syllabus. how much time u take doesn't matter most rather than completion. kindly cover the left topics also like good governance and challenge of LPG, answer writing. thank u once again

Hyy... Critical theory was quite confusing. I found the concepts of Critical theory and Public Choice theory almost relatable. if they are same, then why two umbrellas are used to cater one subject....that being the criticism of over bureaucratization?

I'm sorry for replying late. If we see the overall picture, every new theory has criticised the traditional approach, be it PCA, NPA, NPM, New Public Service Approach, etc. Where all of these theories differ is what alternatives they have proposed instead. Coming to your confusion, Critical Theory has very old origins, beginning in the 1920s. Public Choice Approach, on the other hand, is a later phenomenon (it belongs to the same era as of NPA). Why we call it as 'Critical Theory' is because these thinkers have focused more on criticisms, than giving an alternate method. Whatever alternate methods they have proposed (debureaucratisation & democratisation) is less substantial comparatively. Also, this theory is very disjointed, and there is no coherence: A few thinkers here and there since 1920s have come up, spoke something critical, and then left the topic. So, what Pub Ad thinkers have done is, they have put all these disjointed and spread-all-over-the-place thinkers under a term 'Critical Theory'. Now it may sound similar to PCA, because there is no coherence between the thinkers in their thoughts, and both the theories' criticisms sound similar. But it is different in the sense that PCA is well-formulated with a lot of coherence and unity among the thinkers who have proposed those ideas. (I might even go to the lengths and say that since Critical Theory came before, since 1920s, PCA thinkers might have borrowed their criticisms and made their own better theory!) I hope this helps. :)
