Not only is it an easy way to mark your quilts and is easier to see those marks :)

I used a backing with large flowers that I quilted around, it was perfect on front!

Excellent info and demonstration Laura. Thanks so much. Not many of us can afford to get them done professionally nor own a long arm machine. 🇦🇺

Never occurred to me to “flip” it over and quilt from the opposite. Wonders never cease! Thank you very much

I just want to tell you how much I have learned from you. Your teaching methods fit my style of learning and I have become a better quilter because of you. Thanks so much for making these videos!

When I use a stencil, I use a pounce pad with chalk to transfer the marks. I have found if I spray the quilt lightly with water BEFORE and AFTER I use the pounce pad, the chalk does not disappear quite so quickly. For a small project like this, it would be ideal...and FAST!

I love this method of marking! Marking is part of the reason I haven't done any free motion quilting. I'm legally blind and with all the color changes on front I can't see the marks. This will really make a big difference for me. Thank you for showing this technique Laura I really appreciate it.

So logical! Thanks for sharing this method. I got a kick out of your story about the backwards music notes too. Good reminder to do things backwards.
