@@noralorenz6227 the tinted moisturizer? Or which one? I have tried the tinted moisturizer it was not quite enough coverage for me but still a beautiful formula… if you want something that’s lighter coverage but still dewy and glowing, try the bare minerals tinted moisturizer. Personally right now my favorite foundation is the Dior forever skin glow, it’s just the right amount of coverage not too light but not too heavy and you can share it out to make it lighter coverage and super dewy. I’ve also recently tried the kosas and the Danessa Myricks foundations and both were not quite “it” for me. Hope that helps!

I absolutely love that you included close up clips in natural lighting! It is definitely incredibly helpful, at least to me, getting to see how the foundation looks in other lighting. I also always love that you post reviews of foundations and not just first impressions! I'm really glad that you've been wearing this for a few days and already had your thoughts on the product prior to the wear test, it was really helpful to hear. The Stoned Vibes palette is so pretty! It's definitely on my wishlist. I'm currently on a no-buy (sort of... I've had some hiccups, lol) but maybe I'll get it for my birthday! The shimmers are definitely up my alley in terms of finish. I hope that your skin settles soon!! Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer to get used to your new climate.

our eyeshadow formula preferences are so different! i find urban decay's formula really frustrating, and I think it looks dry on the eyes (and i have extremely oily eyelids). it's really cool that there's a formula out there for everyone.

Girl. Weleda skin food was the ONLY thing that saved my skin when I was super dry and flakey. I slathered it all over my face and neck before bed and that stuff is *thick* so it stays all night. Then embryolisse cream concentrate during the day. Highly, highly recommend that combo for suuuuper dry flaky skin or disrupted barrier irritation 🖤

I've been wanting to try the embryolisse. Is it not as hydrating as the weleda? I'm really worried about all the essential oils bc I have sensitive skin so I was really hoping the Crème Concentré was a dupe for the skin food
@AmandaBabyyyyy
@AmandaBabyyyyy 3 жыл бұрын
@@3llemc hmm I wouldn’t say it’s a dupe...it’s very hydrating but not as thick and emollient as the skin food, so it truly depends on what your skin tolerates/needs/likes. I use the weleda on my face, but also my cuticles, legs, feet, whatever is super dry...so I would say even if your face doesn’t like it, it won’t go to waste bc it’s so multi-use...maybe someone else can weigh in? That’s my experience!

@Ophelia441
@Ophelia441 3 жыл бұрын
@@3llemc I agree with Amanda. The Embryolisse is not as rich and thick as the skin food. I have VERY sensitive skin, but essential oils don’t seem to bother it, oddly enough. The Embryolisse has never caused an issue either, but I would not say it is a dupe...just a lighter version of Skin Food.

I have been loving this foundation! I've been doing a super light layer & spot concealing with the new face pencils from Jones Road and I feel like I've finally found my easy, as-close-to-natural-looking, healthy glowy base. I really like that it's in a squeeze tube with a pointed nozzle and the price is A+. I just picked up the new Kosas setting powder-- I think it will play super well with this formula!

I would say, having watched Hannah for a long time and using a lot of the same shadows that you have quite different preferences in shadows. She does not always present her preferences in terms of preferences but in terms of best and worst, but I think that's because she reviews everything through the lens of a comparison to her collection. But like her, I wouldn't buy UD Naked Violet, because I have Natasha Denona's Lila palette and some indie purple shadows and they tend to perform the way I want shadows to perform based on my brushes, application style, and bias towards the most impact with the least amount of shadow. Although I do think, as a purple shadow fan, that purples are hard to formulate and UD leaned into blend instead of pigment. I'm super curious about the Wild West, but at the same time recognize that I have a lot of warm neutrals from lines that suit my tastes and so I'm likely to double down on my confirmation bias that Natasha Denona or Vieve are better because I love Natasha Denona and Vieve. (Also the packaging. I love UD and root for it always, but Ima need some not hard plastic packaging please, unless they make the pans magnetic).

You've mentioned a couple of times your upstairs is hot and the downstairs is cold. Some hvac systems will have a setting where they focus the heating to different floors, you might be able to change the setting to even out the heating. I mention this only because I didn't realize it when I moved north from Florida for the first winter. Total gamechanger for the second winter when someone told me about it.

I’ve never used the Acure moisturizer, it’s next on my list to try. I’m currently finishing up the Youth To The People adaptogen moisturizer with peptides. It’s like ~$50. I adore it, but if the Acure is as good as everyone says, I’d love to save the money. The YTTP one does stay tacky (in a good way) for a few hours after I put it on. With how dry my skin gets in the winter I have been layering it with the Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief. It’s like an oil/serum hybrid.

@SarahHublerTheBeautyHub

I LOVE the Pretty Fresh foundation. I think the UD is less coverage, or maybe just less buildable than the CP one. I also think CP gives me more of a blurred, natural finish. Whereas the UD gives me a bouncy, plump more glowy finish. Honestly, I adore them both. But I agree with Kacki, I think UD lends itself better to cream products on top. And CP works really well with powder. Although I can make CP work with cream also.
