Add a teaspoon of sunflower or peanut butter with some chili crisps. Simmer for a bit. I know you can't usually simmer with that setup, but the closer you can get the better.

I love fish as well. Catching and eating. I was raised on deep fried "CRAPPIE". My dad was an expert on catching, cleaning and cooking them. Best days of my life until got married and our 2 beautiful daughters. And now our first angel of a granddaughter. Life is great!

Mav, I suggest using Ghee in the winter time as olive oil tends to freeze. It’s shelf stable a lot longer than butter would be. It would be slightly easier than trying to squeeze out frozen oil as you would be able to just cut pieces.

Diesel Heater: I drive semi and if the heater hasn’t been ran in a while, I usually start it and put the temp as high as it goes so the fan will kick on hard. Sometimes the dust that builds up will cause it to throw an error, but the fan can blow it away most times. It’s good to start it once a month to keep it fresh, but I’m sure you are busy. Maybe try this trick though. Keep it up Mav. Long time viewer here.

As someone who’s lived in Texas all my life I was always amazed seeing you ice fish and see the lakes with snow and such. Now going into my second winter here in the Midwest and you’re entirely right. This time last year the area I’m in was pushing -10 down to -20’s. It was in the 50’s not too long ago! It’s ridiculous. Going to have our first 10 to 0 days next week and I’m so not ready for it haha. Looking forward to kickin by the heater and watching all the videos I missed in 2023. Next time you come to Milwaukee, you can camp at a freeway flyer spot. They are near the freeways. They are free and you can stay for up to 5 days. It is dry camping only.

Trick for your heater always run it on full before you turn it off. Doing this should clear the combustion chamber after using it
