Hi Dave nice to see you doing what you like best, cutting! I’m anxiously waiting to see what you have done with the pgfd, I have several burning brushes, they do really well but a challenge to give it an interesting shape. Best of luck with yours. Stay healthy this winter my friend! Ricardo

Nice haul Dave. Eastern Red Cedars wreak havoc with Crapples/Apples. Juniper Apple Rust is quite a common issue. Good luck. Thanks, keep growing

Nice update on your collected trees. And gettin them set up for next growing season. Man, scale is such a jerk! My outdoor trees are taken care of by the wasps. But indoors, it’s all out war. Nice to get your trimmers wet again, eh! I’m diggin it, brother.

Red Cedar clump almost looks like a mini forest setting. Nice.

Dave what is the benefits of wooden plant boxes versus plastic or ceramic in your opinion, i would be interested in hearing
@DavesBonsai Жыл бұрын
I think the biggest advantage to wood boxes is simply the ability to make whatever size you need. Wood is porous so the soil should dry faster. You may or may not want that. Glazed ceramic will hold more l Moisture in. Some use terricatta Pots with glaze on the top ring so the moisture stays on top part of the pot to promote more roots up higher in pot.

Scale. Nasty pests. Hope your organic spray knocks them out. Great that you go organic to keep you and your family safe.

The white things on your last tree might have been wooly aphids.
