As much as I'm confused as to why he's laughing so much... he could be traumatized, damaged, depressed, suicidal, etc.. but no.. with what this Man has been through he's full of laughter. Respect💯🇺🇸

There are every sort of person in the military; funny, serious, industrious, idle, optimistic, negative. Most people enlist at a young impressional age. It can be deadly and it's far from perfect but it's good because of all those different folks working together for a common goal. We would probably have a better society now if everyone served and had that experience.

What he said about Anxiety being higher around non-veterans or civilians.. I noticed the same thing. For example after service, i was lucky to work many years on and off on a military base, or i also spent time in the reserves... Everything was normal because i was around the military often... but these last years of my life where i no longer work on a military base, or i am no longer around the military or veterans for that matter..... This is when my mind starts thinking back. I mean .. I'm not sure what psychiatrists think trying to push Veterans away from the military.... Because maintaining that presence actually keeps things normalized.

Not everyone reacts the same to combat. For some its excitement. Some people risk their lives for worthwhile things like serving in the Military and grtting paid for it while others take stupid chances like bunji jumping or jumping in a fire at Burning Man. If you get killed , dead is dead the final outcome is all the same . The difference is that the thrill seeker’s wish they could have the camaraderie of warriors fighting for a good and noble cause. Henry The Fifth got it right in His St. Crispian’s Day Speech at Agincourt. Its recorded in the Bible , David and Goliath, and many more stories of common people against trials and tribulations , adversaries and adversities. Its Like the Ballad of Private Rodger Young.

Why don’t they use dogs to keep watch? Nothing better than a curious dog to alert people when some stranger comes in the area. Sounds funny but geese are actually the best at this. They’ll make noise when your like 50 yds away. No way you can sneak up when you got geese around lol. I live by a huge cemetery and there’s a big pond. I go walking there at night and as soon as you get near the water they’ll make a noise alerting the other geese “we got company”. I tried so hard to sneak up plenty of times but I always fail lol. You can sneak up on a sleeping dog, I’ve done it plenty of times. Sometimes dogs go into a deep sleep like humans lol. Twitching and making noises, even running in their sleep. It’s funny to watch but not funny when they’re supposed to be your security lol. Imagine everyone getting killed because Roger the dog was knocked tf out!
