You captured the word on the first house, saying it has character!!! Yes. So comfortable and beautifully appointed. I just love these Tudor style homes. Thank you for the day brighteners of days gone by, when quality meant so much.

Not sure how you came up in my feed, but I am so happy you did! I love old homes; the details, the quality’s, and day dreaming of the inhabitants that once lived in them. I’m honored to own a 1930’s brick Tudor Bungalow in Dallas Texas, every time I look at it I fall in love with it again. Seeing these homes through you eyes has been a wonderful adventure! Thank you for taking the time to care about them and video/photograph them. Each one that succumbs neglect and then to urban sprawl is heartbreaking, Thank you again!

The first house was obviously past salvaging. It was still a lovely old lady. That second one was not past saving. It's so good you got these documented. Without your hard work these would be lost to the developers and no one would ever be able look back on them. Glad you're doing well. Stay safe and healthy.

2 Tudor homes now demolished. I am in Texas in the U.S. I have a very strong opinion about all the demolitin that is going on around the world. There is lots of talk about how we are destroying our natural resources. Destroying these beautiful homes is the main way we're doing it. I think all demos should be done by men/women without power toools or machinery. Each piece of wood, tile, glass, carpet, brick, appliances and anything else that can be salvaged should be used again to upgrade or build new homes or businesses. Stp all the craziness! Jeannie

Beautiful features in both homes, such character. There would be many happy memories for past families I'm sure. Such a shame. My grandparents lived in a farmhouse and they had the toilet outside. As a child I was always checking for spiders and snakes and I hated going to the loo at night.

That first one is a beauty, she may be dying a slow death, but gees show her some dignity. Developers are so soulless. There are many items still there that can be salvaged surely? It is easy to see your love of the old architecture, the time and care you take showing fire places, door knobs, light-switches and fixtures and all the different ceiling roses. Thank you for taking us on this adventure. xx

I know this is not such a new video, I’ve watched it about ten times. I love this home, with so much character. The detailing on the ceilings is amazing! The stained glass windows and fireplace added to the character of the house. Close to what we Americans call a craftsman style home, my favorite!

I've never seen woodwork framing a door like that, it's beautiful but unusual. Love the fireplaces & ceiling tiles. That beautiful old stove that they took out was beautiful too. Another piece of history soon to be a memory. Thanks Paul. 🙋♀️💜🇺🇲

The wood carving and trim in the second house was very well done, An old country trained craftsman no doubt. That period of work is somewhat older than the vintage of the homes . Glad you recorded them before the wreckers turned up Cheers!

I think both of those homes were incredible. The ceiling features and the original light fixtures were beautiful. I so appreciate a period home. I hate to see them disappear but can certainly see the need for some of them to either come down or have a LOT of money spent to repair them. Repairing foundations and taking walls to the studs to reinforce then repair them is a lot of work and time. Thank you for a fun explore.

Both gorgeous old Tudor style homes with unique facades and interiors. The first home had such a magnificent limestone facade with absolutely beautiful decorative ceilings. Love the delicate plaster rose theme. It is a pity that there was so much movement over time that caused structural damage to the home. The second Tudor style home seemed to be more structurally sound and loved the Redgum timber door surroundings in the kitchen. Thanks again Urbex Indigo for sharing your explores and capturing two unique Tudor homes, that unfortunately are not sanding anymore.

The columns give it a "stately" & sturdy appearance. Sad it's disappearing. I sure hope someone who appreciates the many things that can be salvaged, does so. The woodwork around all doirs & windows, quality wood doors & hardware, the ceiling rosette over the chandelier, art decor glass work designs, the hallway wood grill work, the fireplaces, the old sash windows wood floors... it seriously hurts my heart to see it unappreciated & destroyed. I maje stained & art glasd work & would live all the differe t decor glass panels to woek with. That 2nd home with the ornate metal panel us amazing! Thank you so much for showing us again. I really appreciate the character of both homes. 🙋♀️💜✌

I could have lived in that first home. It had such a warm and loved feeling about it. Loved the doors, windows, door frames, fireplaces and each ceiling rose and where I grew up, we had a walk in pantry. The house where I was born was built only two years before the war, so it too was 1930s and had an upstairs bathroom. My sister rented a house in the 70s before she moved away and bought one, but that was an old two up two down terraced house with an outside loo, that was destined for 'slum clearance'. They broke up communities and replaced them with little boxes.

Another couple of gems for sure ,,would’ve been pretty classy back in the day . I wonder how many years it took before the cracks started in the first one . Great to see at least a photo of the old wood fired cooker / heater in the first one . They were the warm heart of the home and I know I used to jump out of bed during winter to back up to it in the morning n sometimes mum would put your clothes in front of it to warm up . Those latches on the cupboard also impressed me . Simple but so reliable. Great start to Sunday. Thanks again mate.

Hi Paul, thanks for sharing. I was surprised that the roof tiles weren’t salvaged. Makes me wonder if they were as careless with the interior. With the open roof and tiles on the floor it reminded me of my house after it was destroyed by fire. Our family home in a Melbourne was built in 1953 and we had an outhouse made from fibre cement until the sewer went through in the mid 60s. We used to take a torch with us at night to check for spiders. Thank goodness for indoor plumbing! Stay safe, until next time .....🙂💕

That was a beautiful stove you had in the picture that was awesome I love that and also that corner fireplace that was different..The second one nice loved the old wood and that rounded fireplace...i sure do hope they salvage the most they can would be beautiful doors and windows for another home and that wood around the door was gorgeous,,, thanks for sharing it was nice to see it...But sad to see them go 😢

So sad when they are damaged beyond repair. My grandmother’s house had the same thing happen, almost a third of the house fell away from the rest, we had to move her out pretty quickly. Then the couple that bought it tried pouring their money into it and fixing it, I thought that was so great, but for reasons I don’t know (guessing they ran out of money) they didn’t finish, resold two years later and now it is demolished with two little houses in its place - Dad calls them the concrete ‘shitboxes’ - LOL 😆
