When everyone witnesses homeless veterans in the street, when those who served and need medical have to deal with the nightmare that is the VA, yet observe outsiders given hotel rooms, medical care, and financial aid, where is the incentive to join the military? The risks far outweigh the benefits. No one wants to fight and die for a country they can no longer believe in. A country whose government prioritizes everything and everyone except it's own people. Who in their right mind would want to put their lives on the line for what we have become? A country that does not support law, order and peace, but chaos, lawlessness and division.

But I never stopped preparing. Always updating my important items, I feel I need to survive these times upon us now. The fact is, you will always be updating supplies, or replacing them, so your going to have to keep going. There is no end, until it's your time with the Grim Reaper. It's getting tougher trying to update and replace supplies; I feel the pain being retired and only on Social Security Retirement. But I get what I feel I need and sacrifice when needed. If I can do it, you can do it!

That's not entirely true. A military person that rotates out, has X amount of time to file with the VA. That includes Service connected Disability, medical care, as well as the required medications. Once established, service connected veterans will draw a disability check. They will be taken care of.

@@FrankSanfelippo right, and I don't know what its like elsewhere, but the VA is basically useless in Florida. 3 months to get an appointment which they often cancel, tell you nothing but make another appointment 3 more months out. Rude, condescending, treat you like an annoyance. This is my own experience with my son who is a vet. I have heard it from others in my family too, all vets, different branches. So many homeless and on the streets. NO help.

Where I work only 5% of the 22 to 16 year olds are NOT on some drug for some type of mood disorder. Just disgusting. Also, these kids have never learned to keep going through the tiredness, exhaustion, pain to get the job done and are EASILY offended. Please take this advice seriously: A young man (maybe young women??) Is better off right now to volunteer to join the military. When you volunteer the enlistee typically get the choice of profession, first duty station, and usually bonuses. When the draft comes: ALL draftee's will be one thing; combat infantry (termed bullet stoppers). You are better to volunteer and get choices (and greatly enhanced percent survivability), then to be drafted and get none. I'm a retired Marine speaking from experience.

Some SAS trained Afghanis who recently arrived to the UK wanted to join the SAS as they had already trained and worked with them. The Afghanis were told that they could not join the military until they had been a resident for at least five years. This means that none of the most recent arrivals will be included in military or a draft. The native population will be sent off to fight and die, while all of the migrants would be left to their own devices in a hollowed out home front. Would you trust millions and millions of unvetted fighting age males, mainly from countries who hate us, to remain peaceful and not take advantage of the situation?

Ukraine is conscripting up to 60 yo men now As a 16 year disabled Army combat veteran, 18 bravo who has trained thousands of troops across the globe, I look around everyday and can’t help but notice as it’s so blatantly obvious how many I see that could never function in many capacities particularly combat related MOSs However, I could see them doing non combat related support functions where, as you mentioned, the vast majority of resources are assigned I also hear many of them say they would leave the country before being drafted The support for their country is just not there Most are liberals and embrace that agenda Why should the conservative mid state parents have to only bear the cost of war and send their sons and daughters off to combat only? I have 2 sons drafting age As for women in combat rolls, they want equal rights I say give it to them and I have a 22 yo daughter I trained IDF and have witnessed exceptional female combatants Other countries as well They cannot pick and choose what they want if they want it all today Just like when I see them protesting for Palestine and Hamas these college age young women This is all organized by bad actors They don’t known what they are protesting I know Hamas I say send them over there for a summer abroad work study course They won’t last a week After they are used for as much as they can manipulate media They will be done My 2 cents ✌️🇺🇸

We're so much getting closer to a civil dispute here domestically that a major war would "most likely" not turn out like it did in world war two era where we (at least from my understanding from relatives) had more unity and patriotic values. If we had a war now one political party just might point the finger and blame the other instead of unifying and defeating the enemy. If this much of America supports communist or Marxist ideas then I don't see how this will work out. We are supposed to be accustomed to fighting for freedom and life not that crap. If we go to war against China a what? Communist nation? Another thing on top of this division and inner conflict of our own, the enemy will just cause more division. The stress of war in general will aggravate these domestic wounds, including the economy I would assume. Maybe the military industrial complex can get around this ? But my whole point is that it's feasible to consider that a world war three may end up collapsing the US. And with all these people here from places that hate us, obviously they will attack us inside if there's a war like that. Just scratching the surface! Be safe everyone.

I don't have good feelings about our near future... As a Christian, I don't worry. I personally believe that we will be raptured away, however I also believe that we don't know when, so I prepare for alternative potentials.
