There’s also a simple acronym to remember the job of the kidney. It’s called a WATERBED.. W=Water fluid regulation A=Acid-Balance T=Toxin removal E=Electrolyte balance R=Removal of waste products B=Blood pressure regulation E=Production of Erythropoiesis D= Vitamin D activation 😊

another important information about the kidney is that it excretes insulin so in diabetic patient who is developing acute kidney injury or ongoing CKD it's important to decrease the dose of antidiabetic medication to avoid hypoglycemia.

I appreciate the information on the urinary system. I am informed that diabetes insipidus is caused by lack of vasopressin resulting to excessive undiluted urine. Now my question is what could be the cause of this problem? Is it the malfunction of the pituitary or other interference in the urinary system?

How about the water that we drink where it goes in the body if the urine came from the blood. Help I'm confuse
@EmikoFregene3 ай бұрын
the water we drink is absorbed by the digestive tract precisely by the large intestine, this is absorbed into the blood stream ( ie to the blood , and from the blood this video explains how it turns to urine , i hope this is helpful

I wish you could explain what happens when one kidney is much smaller and is considered a floating kidney that resides in front of the pelvis as opposed to where it belongs near the back lumbar area. How does that affect movement and the function of the kidney system? No one has explained it to me to my satisfaction since that is my anatomical position and how that affects my overall health. I bet you could explain it to my understanding and give me some insight as to what I have suffered as a child. I lost the use of both my limbs at 4 years old and no one has ever explained why. It might have to do with my kidney dysfunction. I don’t know.

4:23 on an unrelated note, if you do have blood in your urine, that’s probably not a good sign
@letichatate7319 Жыл бұрын
it's a lot of things that should not be in your urine such as bile, glucose, protein, blood like you said and the list goes on. for instance, glucose in the urine is a sign on diabetes.

Red demonstrates oxygen rich blood. Blue demonstrates blood with low oxygen levels.
