Istg the film industry has seriously lost touch with reality and what public want to see; we don’t want to see remakes or live versions of animated movies. We want to see more unique and creatively produced movies where the idea wasn’t just taken from the original movie or book and screwed with. Come up with something new for once. And actually study teenagers instead of giving us an unrealistic portrayal of them. Because never in my life have there been dance mobs/battles, bucket lists, unrealistic college acceptances into Ivy League schools, two boys fighting over me, amongst some of the worst mistakes writers have made. Make something that matters and is relatable for once. Teenagers are highly vulnerable to mental health issues like depression, suicide is a serious risk, high expectations and pressure from parents and society, body issue, family issues, stress levels, bullying! Our next worry isn’t the new boy in town.
