Aside from the legacies who have rich parents who pay for libraries and tech to [help] get them in... People get into Harvard because they TRY to get into Harvard. Excatly, some out in the fact about medical bills since her mother had cancer and died so now it's just her dad but if it was that then why idk put that into the movie. And even with Noah he had a scholarship out of his football. And we know Elle is on the soccer team and probably has good grades af if she's also part of the student council/club. + She would have to split the money with Marco bc with Lee at least they could have a talk and Lee agrees to giving her his part of the cash but she doesn't talk to Marco about it so it would be unfair if she took all the cash. And well they never show anything of her struggling financially so how are we going to sympathize if all we get is her claiming to bed the movie yet seeing her go to big school events, play at the arcade a lot (again with Lee maybe he pays but Marco it would be a 50/50 thing)

And as another person put it it feels like they just put 2 ppl of color and the gay couple to be "oh look we're diverse see" amd came out a little hurtful bc the those characters are the ones written to be the ones making the main "good" characters do the bad decisions and with the gay couple to show "oh she's not all bad look what's she doing for them" and felt like they were trying to do a whole love,Simon festival scene except there wasn't much to show why they were fearful to come out and why anyone would make it a big deal and also what if the other guy didn't want to come out you just don't out them like that. And they are basically just repeating the same plot on both movie and probably the 3rd as well which is best friends have a list but romantic relationship with friend's sibling gets in the way and now main girl is all alone and doesn't know what to do. Even with Marco and chole there point to the plot was in the first as well Marco with the boy who assulted her (which gets sugar coated) and chole with all the other girls such as the piercing chick who know Elle is fine with even though in the first film she was rude to her. So it adds nothing new and doesn't add anything to the story no growth to the characters,nothing. And as you said the kissing booth isnt adding anything other than it's the name of the film which is going to be diffcult for them to tie into the 3rd especially if they are going to make it about her college decision and it's going to get boring bc as I said they basically just repeated the first film but with a different rule and new characters.
