+tamim khasawneh Hi. I'll try to write it here, because my answer is short on that: First thing is to practice a lot, because you need to train your bone joints. Second: give it some speed. It will be like leaning with a bicycle while turning, you can't do that slowly. Third: lean backwards, sit down a bit and balance with your arms. Stretch your arms in front of you. That's it I think.

do you have your ankle taped? if you are doing a sudden and fast break isn't there a risk for getting a sprained ankle? or does good skating shoes give you the stability?
@NagyerdeiKorisok
@NagyerdeiKorisok 4 жыл бұрын
skates should hold you tight, exception is the top 3-4 holes where the laces should allow flexibility for movement. Ankles are way below that in a fixed place.

@NagyerdeiKorisok
@NagyerdeiKorisok 9 жыл бұрын

@0oPaddyo
@0oPaddyo 7 жыл бұрын
You can even do a hockey stop with a 7mm radius sharpening if that even exists lol if you are not used to the motion of a hockey stop and still have a hard time getting the right angle on the ice to slide it is much easier with a more wider radius like 20mm try it out but 20mm is pretty damn wide Id use like 12-18 or smth like that

@gaborsimon9099
@gaborsimon9099 6 жыл бұрын
Hello. Válaszotokat előre is köszi :)

@NagyerdeiKorisok
@NagyerdeiKorisok 8 жыл бұрын

Ooooo cos when we practise spraying hockey stops what i learnt was using the toe
@NagyerdeiKorisok
@NagyerdeiKorisok 8 жыл бұрын
+gigadrian12 It's good that you learned with the toe first, but based on my experience it's hard to control when you stop from a really fast speed. It can be different for other people of course, but since I'm doing freestyle, I use a banana shaped blade which is hard to control if you put too much weight on the front.
