HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW URSULA BECAME A VILLAIN?
Poseidon the King of the Sea had a daughter named Ursula who he loved dearly. He told her many stories about how she would someday be the greatest ruler and Queen of Atlantica. He made a promise to her that no matter what, she would be his successor to the throne. A few years later Poseidon had another child named Triton and the birth of her brother changed everything for Ursula. She thought she had a close relationship with her brother growing up but she never realised his treacherous intent towards her. Throughout the years Ursula noticed that Poseidon started to spend more time with Triton and barely any time with her. He stopped telling her stories about her future reign as Queen which casted a shadow of doubt in Ursula’s mind about her dreams to rule Atlantica. The time had finally come to crown the successor to the throne and on Poseidons death bed he makes a decision that changes the course of Ursula’s life forever…

Ursula actually does have an official origin story and song. It's called "I Want Those Good Times Back", and reveals that Ursula got her shell from her father. Both the shell and Trident belonged to Poseidon, who split Atlantica into two and gave them to both if his children. However, Ursula went mad with power and began eating her subjects. Triton then overthrew and banished her.

It's from the stage musical and it is not canon. Which is because in the animated movie Triton and Ursula are not related at all, while they are brother and sister in the musical. It was intended for them to be siblings in the movie, but that was scrapped in the very early stages of making it. The stage musical also makes several other changes. @@zarinaa1135

Ursula has always been my favourite Disney villain, scratch that Disney character! I actually went to a re make of the little mermaid as a play this summer in witch they wrote a song that explained Ursula’s past in witch she was Tridents sister as well. I forget the plot but it wasn’t like this it was a little different. This song definitely served Ursula justice, I loved the part with the eels and how she herself is the poor unfortunate soul. I know this is just an AU, but I feel bad for Ursula that she wanted to be the Queen of Atlantica, but her father and her brother didn't think she should be the ruler because they think a girl doesn't deserve to rule, so they plotted against her and when her father died, her brother received the crown and the throne and when she tried to convince him to give the crown and the throne to her, he refused and used his trident to turn her from a mermaid to a cecaelia. This backstory would explain why she wanted to get revenge on Triton and become the Queen of Atlantica.

This was AMAZING, Milkyy! I'm a new subscriber and I adore your Disney villian songs! I have a suggestion for a future villain song: Taran from The Black Cauldron. I have two ideas for it, one is based on the movie, but the other is a more meta crossover take. Movie inspired: Based on the deleted Fair Folk Scene, but instead of choosing to join Taran, Fflewdur Flam, Eilonwy, and Gurgi decide not to. Taran, sick of his dreams always being looked down upon, by Dallben and by others, snaps. Complete with the magic sword turning red to represent Taran turning evil. When Taran goes to Morva alone, he uses the sword to defeat the witches and throws them into the titular Black Cauldron, summoning the Cauldron born. Even going as far as to mock The Horned King before sending the Cauldron Born after him. Que everyone reacting in horror and Taran laughing evilly as he is now the most powerful warrior in Prydain. Crossover idea: Taran feels sick of being overshadowed and being unfairly compared to other Disney protagonists, and recklessly tries to battle the Jabberwocky, only to have to be saved by the other Disney characters, who are now furious with him, ESPECIALLY DALLBEN. Taran tries to redeem himself, only for them to continuously give him the cold shoulder. Saddened and alone, Taran ends up meeting Morgana Le Fay and becoming her apprentice. She teaches him magic and gives him a new magic sword, and convinces him to become evil. However, Taran becomes obsessed with power and finds ways to learn more and more magic, become on par with Yen Sid. This causes Taran to turn power-hungry, as he plots the downfall of his fellow Disney characters. The EPCOT characters try to reason with Taran, only to fail. Now the Disney characters must stop Taran before it's too late. I think Taran as a villain could be very interesting. It'd be hilariously ironic if the crossover version used When You Wish Upon A Star.

Triton was always a sexist against his daughters and his own sisters Ursula. And a xenophobe toward humans! Already their father Poseidon had commited a rape on Medusa and for that, goddess Athena taken the defense of her uncle, turning Mesusa as a gorgon, as Triton turning into Ursula as a woman-octopus. Great video!

That's so true and he didn't just have one , he had 7 girls, his daughter Ariel is my favorite Disney princess and his sister Ursula is my favorite Disney villain. karam hit him hard like a rock I would say. Karam hit there to dad because he stuck up the clouds with his brother , can't see his grandchildren and great grandchild.

Here's an interesting au. What if Ariel found out about what her father did to the rightful heir to the throne. So she and Ursula teamed up. Picture this, Ariel sneaks off to visit her Aunt Ursula and becomes close to her after finding out that her father stole the throne from her Aunt even banishing her fiance. After reading a book in a restricted section of the Royal Library Ariel learns of an artifact called The Mirror of Truth. It will show the truth about whatever one asks it. The problem is that it was on land and owned by very Prince Ariel had fallen in love with. Ariel convinces Ursula to turn her human to get the mirror. When asked what Ariel got out of it she's told the chance to spite my traitorous father by getting involved with a human. Cue Triton destroying Ariel's grotto and Ariel deciding it was time. She packed a bag with her diary, some pens, and a few trinkets like her favorite seashell jewelry and pearl hairpins. Ursula turns her into a human with her eels watching over her. Seabastian and Flounder who were tricked try to sabatoge her mission, but Ariel succeeded irregardless. She finds the mirror and learns Ursula was engaged to Queen Athena's brother. And that she was Ursula's eldest and Urchin's older sister! She asked the mirror to show her the truth and it infuriates her more showing Ursula was telling her the truth. Eric when he is told is okay with her being a mermaid and says he can ask for a necklace that would let him turn into a merman and back. Their kingdoms united in love. In the end Triton gets exposed and dethroned, Ursula gets her throne on top of her kids back, and Ariel gets to be with the man she loves without having to change herself or choose one world for the other.
