The only people that talk fondly about empires are the people wearing the boot, not under it.

@reggriffiths57694 ай бұрын
and @sentientnatalia More nonsense from undeducated commenters! The fact that so many of the countries that formed part of the British Empire remain as proud members of the British Commonwealth proves just the opposite of your government's false indoctrinating ideology. If, on the other hand, you are referring to the Nazis and Communist/Marxist countries such as Russia, North Korea, China &etc, then you are probably right. What about the US? Britain gave you your independence and just about every other innovation and invention totally free. We even gave you your Constitution - which you managed to screw up!. In return you gave us nothing. You will certainly say that you helped us out in two world wars, but in truth Britain paid for that help in hard cash for more than 150 years. Britain got nothing for free from the US. Perhaps the best thing Britain achieved from the US was the US Independence, where we got the best deal - we got you off our backs!

There’s an old saying ‘All power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely’. There’s another idea, a bit more cynical, but with a germ of truth, concerning politicians going into politics with the true intention of ‘making things better’ for the population, but once in government, their ideals turn into ‘the population should make sacrifices improve the wealth of their politicians’. Hopefully the youth of today will learn from the past. Thanks for this reaction video. I hope the rest of your treatment goes well.

I’m not quite done with the procedure. My second surgery is Thursday, and a week after that they turn it on. So I should be all set in a few weeks. 😁

America still dominates in pure growth however. We're working on sixth generation fighter jets that are meant to be driven by AI, we dominate the space market with Falcon 9's that fly sometimes 3 times a day and are also working on Starship (150Metric Tons to LEO and can deploy supplies anywhere in the world in under an hour as long as there's a landing pad), silicon valley constantly producing new technologies, Tesla spawned out of us and is now used all across Europe with China trying to copy us (on rockets too, like they're literal copies), the major AI developers arose in America as well. But the rest of America is falling apart. And eventually that will catch up and impact those dominating markets. Those companies need smart people after all. That's why we import the largest amount of people, we need smart people so they can produce all this great shit. (Except for Space and Military, is not allowed).

So great to see you back, not really suffering anymore from your former surgery treatment. Which one, obsviously, didn't impact in any way your intellectual agility and thoughtfull judgement. You better take care of yourself, man, because you're very needed. You're an necessary link between Europe - I'm French...- and U.S.A., and point out each time where the problem lies. Whether it concerns Europe or U.S.A. in the first place. With a quite larger view about economic, social and politics policies than many ones just past along without even noticing. You know you're are really awaited cheerfully soon in Germany (I understand this is the place you are familiar with on this side of the Atlantic (why not have a try with France, one day or then other, and more specifically Britanny - did anybody guessed this is where I'm living ?- with its breathtaking landscapes, its very typical cooking, its welcoming people, its very specific history (and somebody there ready to play the guide role...). Don't even look for another place for complete recovery ! By the way, the video you choosed today was a perfect one, argumented, documented, and meaningfull. Thank you ! And see you soon in Europe, Germany probably, or, why not, in Britanny, extreme west part of France ? You matter...

Hi Nate, I'm glad to see you without hair because that means you had surgery. and it looks like it went well and I wish you a speedy recovery!!!👍🧠 About this video, imo the reason for a collapse is the financial situation of a dominate country which triggers these failures which influence the finacial situation. The US is way more conserned about finance that about its citizens by the way. Tge moment the US cannot coop with its national debt, is over in a very short period.

You didn’t win in many wars either… Second World War -Yes But Iraq? Afghanistan? Vietnam? Cuba? Not really a Win in those…
@DSP165699 ай бұрын
But these wars wheren't a huge defeats. This would be when the US would have conflicts with Mexico, Canada, Cuba (and other neighbours) and mostly everytime the US lose and territory goes to the winner. First Washington and North Dacota to Canada, California to Mexico, South Florida now part of Cuba and the Australian State of Hawaii wasn't mentioned. Or like WW2 but this time USA loses and is occupied and divided to the winners.
@JonasReichert19929 ай бұрын
@@DSP16569 you lost quiet few Soldiers in Vietnam. In Cuba well you were Fought off by a really small Group of People…. And if I ask a Widow about Afghanistan or Iraq those weren’t even Close to win either especially Since The Taliban are back in Business within weeks after you guys left… Iam not trying to blame anyone- it’s just that the Americans haven’t won much - just like every other Country.

First welcome back! Glad you are doing better. While I see a lot of truth in this piece, I also see some flaws and a decided cant to his thought process. In a time when information is at your fingertips, it pays to look at both sides of things, and certainly not to believe everything the TV is telling you - regardless of your preferred channel. I lean to the political right personally, but I make every attempt to look at a particular subject from different angles. We have too many who just go with what is popular at the moment, or blindly follow their party. I've been pondering something else. I'm beginning to think that the US is too populated, and has too many regional differences for the current FedGov to manage correctly. One option is to divest large amounts of federal power back to the states. But, I'm thinking of a FedGov with a very limited scope of power, and regional central governments with groups of states under them. One thing is certain, our politics is 14 colors of F'ed up regardless of who is in power. A video I think you might like that approaches this subject from a bit of a different angle is on the Whatifalthist KZbin page and called Our Mouse Utopia. I watched it the other day - I think you'll enjoy it.

Never heard so much nonsense; the narrator (American of course, with typical American self-aggrandising arrogance), compares the Roman Empire with the American Empire. He refers to the Roman Empire as "probably the greatest empire in the world" which it undoubtedly was.....more than 2,000 years ago, without the knowledge and technology that the US has today - and the US has possibly a worse record than the Romans for its handling of government and people it doesn't like.....and it's only 250 years old!!! No mention of the British Empire which was regarded internationally as the greatest empire in the whole of history; strange how he missed that fact. The Romans held most of Europe, North Africa and much of the British mainland, while the British held two thirds of the World! Unlike the Romans, the British did not lose their Empire, they gave those countries who wanted it, their independence - most of them remaining part of the British Commonwealth. However, one question springs to mind: which countries form the US Empire? Apart from a few southsea islands, Manila and Hawaii, the US doesn't have an empire. Hawaii for example retains its British Union flag alongside the US flag. Unfortunately, the American people have never realised how much their governments have lied and fooled them - from birth to grave - with the BS of being "The Greatest Nation on Earth," with the etcetras listed by the narrator. Money and the Flag have driven the US since its inception. "The greatest military in the world," they would have everyone believe; but let's have a closer look. The US has never won a major war without other allies - the War of Independence had the Americans aided by the indigenous Indians and the French, Yes, they won a battle or two against a small force of British sailors and fusiliers, but the "war" such as it was, ended with an agreement for independence. The Civil War wasn't really won, for it continues to this day with a much divided community - a community as a whole that is regarded as the most racial country in the world. Korea: The first of the allies to pull out when things got too hot, were the Americans, leaving their allies in the lurch. Mogadishu: The well-used US battle cry "Let's kick some ass," was short-lived when they got their own asses kicked - in fact so well kicked the US pulled out altogether, and once again leaving their allies to go it alone. Vietnam: The Greates Army in the World," despite all of their heavy bomber aircraft, napalm and the best weaponry money could buy, ended with the Americans being literally kicked out of the country. Can you see the pattern emerging? Iraq. With all of the coalition forces, the war aginst Iraq was won...well almost; there was a lot of faction fighting going on, and a lot of policing and mopping-up to be done, but without the US forces around, for they had again hightailed it to receive the fanfares and glorification. Again, it was down to the British and Commonwealth forces to bring some form of peace and stability. Serbia: True to form, thew first to pull out were the Americans who felt they had done their bit. It was left to the British Army and a core of British police officers brought in to stabilise the country. And who could forget Afghanistan? For the Nth time the Yanks pulled out - like thieves in the night without a word to anyone. It simply got too hot for them! And so it was left to the Brits and Commonwealth troops to face the music alone. They had no choice but to retire after the Americans had gone, but at least they held on to the pride and integrity. Bay of Pigs: Here, the US earned no glory whatseever for theit kak-handed attempt to initiate a coup against the communist government - but without using their own forces. They became the laughing stock of the world. Grenada: this tiny little island was overtaken by around 100-150 Marxists. The US sent in 20,000 troops, 20-plus warships and a regiment of tanks to win the island back. Sadly, the so-called "Elite" US Rangers were captured by the rebels and held until eventually they were rescued. I believe they also lost their armoured support - but that was only to be expected, given their past record. Funny how the British regained the Falkland Islands (many times larger than Grenada ), having travelled 8,000 miles to get there, with a similar number of troops and warships as the US used in Grenada. Here, the US Government renaged on the NATO policy of support to a friendly NATO country. It was all about the money and the Argentine beef supplies. The US has proven itself time after time to be untrustworthy. The Greatest Army? History has shown that not to be the case. How a country with no experience of modern warfare ever had the gall to claim to be better than everyone else is beyond credibility. British war involvement goes back over 1,000 years, while the US has only ever had Indian wars to contend with - and look at what happened there!!
@k7j69 ай бұрын
Those were great points! But believe it or not? It’s not just political issues that is making the US be bad. It is a certain College Sports Team doping their athletes & this US & the NCAA not taking any action on that specific School that is doping. And that very College Team in American Football has been gaining National Attention & won in a certain Bowl Game when they should’ve been banned from Post Season Play because of their doping. So this means that for the first time in my life in this world! This US will not get any of my support for this year’s Olympics due to that.

The Roman Empire was not that big, in terms of Countries they ruled. The British Empire was almost ten times bigger in those terms, plus much wealthier and had almost 60% of the world working for it. Yes the British Empire is no more, I mean recently even Scotland wants to get out, thus shrinking the British Power even more. Leaving the EU was a massive mistake as it has made more problems than what we had when we where part of the EU, such as Trading and Laws in to Human Rights (which are now being taken and heard in the UK High and Supreme Courts) The US is very young and has about the same power (retrospect) as what the British Empire was like around 160 years ago, just with much more tech. The British Empire failed massively after World War Two.

Yes well, the US isn't an empire, it's a young country. In western/northern Europe people got together and demanded better human/workers rights - we didn't get it for free, it grew and grew through the centuries. You guys can do it too. Unite as many as you can, you have to believe it and fight for it. You changed so women could vote, civil rights movement, you CAN do it! 💪
