Salvation was almost an epic movie but the studio chickened out and gave it the dumbest plot hole riddled ending. An ending where we are supposed to believe that in a world where Tylenol is scarce anti rejection medication is plentiful. Here's the problem with the last two terminators. Jhon Conner is the Savior of humanity. It was established for in every movie that his death means the death of humanity. Narrative wise he's meant to be a Christ like figure a messiah. He's meant to be a key point geniuses and dark fate. Basically say "He every before every scrap of media didn't matter because Jhon wasn't as important as he we made him seen or was." Which was even the reason why those movies could be made.

I agree that the series is losing its magic. Unless they canonically bring in the aliens and predators (cyberdine is in the Alien universe; aliens and predators are the same universe AKA all tied in) i domt see any other attemots goimg smooth at all. The aliens are spawning Cyberdine sends in an infiltrator amongst a tactical team sent to eliminate the threat. Terminator on team is sent to get a sample for study back at Cyberdine but encounter the predators. Predator reveals the Terminator all surprised and retreat. So many possibilities from this point it could even grow into a trilogy by its own accord and best of all shows how Dutch became the original skin model because of the documented predator attack of 1984(87 I forget precisely)

I want to discuss my dislike of "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" by examining the flaws I had with it. The weaknesses movie's flaws are how contrived many of the situations and plot elements are for the movie to exist. A nitpicky criticism of mine is the time machine and how again there is no explanation on how people can use it. Instead of showing us a future flashback scene that is only there to establish how the future is (which is also just a rehash of the 1st film's flashback scene without any of the intrigues), we could've gotten a scene of some soldiers or the T-1000 gaining access to the time machine, to establish how people can get away with this without the Terminators and humans being stupid for not destroying it. The T-800 arm being forgotten again to be destroyed is another error that is repeated twice. Wouldn't this in general accelerate the development of Skynet as the arm is just existent in the period for the right person to come across it to utilize? Now onto my more major criticisms. The T-800 is a good guy: This idea comes out of nowhere, as it's very clear in the 1st movie that the Terminators are not capable of persuasion. John Connor is capable of getting ahold of a T-800 and reprograming it to be good and protect him. This inclusion brings up questions as the Terminators aren't capable of being reprogrammed. If they are, it's stupid of Skynet to allow that capability for obvious reasons. John Connor having the ability to not only reprogram a Terminator but also to capture one makes no sense. John knowing robotics, much less Skynet robotics, feels contrived for the sake of it. And how in the world did he get a hold of a Terminator? Did he take one down in a fight, did he find a dead one? We don't know. And why would you program it to just protect you instead of the human race? And John just so happens to find the same model. You could say that all T-800s are modeled the same, but in "The Terminator" in a flashback scene when a Terminator infiltrated a base, it was a different-looking person. And let's not forget the T-800's ability to revive itself. You can tell that feels contrived when Sarah and John wouldn't be able to get the T-1000 into the lava pit if the T-800 wasn't alive to take the final shot. I would be fine with this inclusion if it was established that the Terminators were given a revival feature. Maybe in the flashback scene!? The T-1000: This man is surprisingly too overpowered. It makes sense as it is a better version of a T-800, but the capabilities he has should make it easy for him to kill the Connors and the T-800. At the psychiatric ward when a guard is at the vending machine, for some reason the Terminator can blend into the floor (not be seen). The next shot shows the T-1000 as a puddle of liquid metal, so how did the guard not see him, where was the robot? The liquid metal should also make the T-1000's job much easier as he could've blended into the elevator and killed them on the spot, and turning into a puddle would allow faster travel. But the movie knows how overpowered he is by the fact that the main characters have plot armor on their side and that the T-1000 has less screen time as a threat than the T-800. The hot lead at the construction site feels too coincidental for the Connors to successfully kill him. At least in the first movie, it was more likely you would be able to kill the T-800 since it was a very durable robot that needed to be crushed multiple times (or be compressed, unable to escape), the T-1000 is a liquid metal monster would need to have been pushed into lava where he can't escape, since freezing him doesn't work. The Fate of Miles Dyson: Why the hell is this man killed off!? What pisses me off about the scene when the police show up is the fact that Miles was set up as an innocent victim. He was someone unaware of what his involvement in Skynet technology would do to the world. It's made very clear that he isn't evil and has a loving family, so when Sarah decides to murder Dyson as a result of her trauma and worries about the future, we are concerned. So when she realizes what she is going to do, we are relieved that she doesn't murder Miles. So why would you allow him to be killed!? Granted, they brought him on a dangerous mission. But if you can't guarantee his safety, why bring him along? And doesn't Sarah know the Skynet headquarters already, granted she doesn't know where the files are, so why bring in someone you don't need and not make sure they are safe? Something to note is how people see the Dyson household scene as amazing and push Sarah to be a better person, but that illusion is destroyed when she doesn't consider that he is going to get killed at the Skynet headquarters. Why couldn't we get a scene of the T-800 bringing him home to his family? If Miles was an unlikeable character with no family, I would forgive it. I feel that Miles being killed was an intentional thing, as Miles is willing to sacrifice himself to destroy the building. What about your family!? Overall, it is surprising to me how people think of this movie as a masterpiece when it has notable flaws such as making the same mistakes twice, and allowing contrivances and plot holes to exist, which makes the film less watchable. A good movie in effects and story, but brought down by the flaws I mentioned.

Terminator 2 in S tier is appropriate. Granted, Terminator was a great film. But when I was little I saw Terminator 2 Judgement Day on VHS with my Dad back then, this was perhaps the best movie I ever seen, hands down. It has a nostalgia grip around me. I can see why people hate Salvation but never I hated the movie. Salvation to place in the future and I understood that the Plasma weapons weren't invented yet. Genysis was slightly better than Dark Fate in opinion. Skynet using a physical form to get close to John Conner to take him out was a stroke of genius that I was hoping for since Terminator 3. Now turning John into the most powerful Terminator was something weird. They may have did my boy wrong but that was the point: Skynet was now playing dirty and wanted to break the human's will. Seeing John kick Pop's metal ass where he could not do before as a human is a amusing fight, I have to admit. Still Genysis is a bad movie but it has its moments. Low D TIER. The Rev-9 carried entirety of Dark Fate along side Arnold and Lenda Hamilton.
