US hiring slowed sharply in July and the unemployment rate rose to the highest level in nearly three years. The data triggers a recession indicator dubbed the 'Sahm rule.' If anything Fed rate needs to go higher. We need a major recession to burst all the asset bubbles. They've gotten too big and delaying will only make the pain worse. Easy money needs to be a thing of the past.

Rates are at a better place now....retirees can make some decent low risk returns again AND businesses are adjusting to the higher cost of borrowing. The bond markets should dictate the rates.

@@prolific1518 Wrong and wrong. Stocks compete with the risk-free rate all the time. A lowered interest rate only makes stocks more attractive. All you kiddies who got started on Robinhood in 2020 still haven't learned your lesson.

Understanding broader market movements is also crucial. My advisor provides valuable insights that has significantly improved my knowledge
